The SIG Sauer MCX Rattler CO2 BB Rifle has many similarities to the successful short-barreled rifle firearm line that inspired it. It reaches velocities up to 300 FPS for excellent performance for target practice or plinking.
This BB rifle features a minimalist folding stock that is reminiscent of the one from its powder-burning counterpart, making it easy to transport and store due to its compact size with the stock folded. The pistol grip uses a combination of texturing on the sides and ridges on the front and rear that makes it nearly identical to the grip used on the firearm version.
The SIG MCX Rattler utilizes a drop free magazine with a capacity of 30 BBs to provide extended shooting time, and the selector switch goes from safe, to semi-auto, to 3-round burst to deliver an exciting experience without wasting ammo. This BB gun uses a 12-gram CO2 cartridge for power and has ambidextrous controls to accommodate both left-handed and right-handed shooters.
The long Picatinny optics rail for this air gun holds both the included flip-up front sight and the flip-up rear sight to enable accurate shots out of the box, as well as allowing shooters to add a scope or dot sight. In addition, the handguard offers M-LOK T-slots that help to securely and easily attach accessories such as lasers and lights.

Well built. Look just like the real firearm. Fun to plink with. Is a blow back design.
Things I would have changed:CO2 cartridge barely last for one mag full, wish they had made the mag for two CO2 cartridges', Some type of Allen key system to puncture CO2. I could not get the CO2 to puncture with fingers alone, needed a wrench.
What others should know:Be careful. Mag release will drop the mag on the floor. When using 3 round fire, it will first shoot one bb semi and then 3 bbs. Mine did not come with an owner's manual, but easy to download from Sig website. The bolt dust cover does not open,

Accuracy at 10 yards is plenty fine for what it is. The 3 shot burst is just as much fun as full auto on other guns. 12 gram Co2 operation is a welcome thing since some of us only have a half-hour to get out and plink, where an 88 gram or 90 gram would be too much for such a small window. The magazine is really easy to load with a follower that locks back, the Co2 chamber has a built in turn key so you won't need to fumble around with a separate allen key. A HUGE plus there! It's very easy to field strip, just be careful not to lose your spring upon taking it down. Handles and feels identical to it's modern firearm counterpart. It does lock back on last shot which is great. Some of these SBR style airguns do not and you end up wasting Co2. This is not the case here.
Things I would have changed:The folding stock is a very durable polymer, but I would have liked to see that made in aluminum instead. Of course this keeps the cost down. Still, very durable and only a minor gripe. Also, I would have liked to see the ejection port actually functional as it is on Crosman's DPMS. Again, only a minor gripe that doesn't affect your experience.
What others should know:Don't forget your eye protection, the bb's will be flying with this one folks! Great fun!
