Athlon’s FFP scopes bring a premium optics experience to airgunners who long for precision, accuracy, and durability from their scopes. This Athlon Optics 6-24x50 Midas TAC Rifle Scope is a prime example of everything that Athlon is doing right in the optics world. The rugged Midas is shockproof, weatherproof, and fogproof and best of all, the first focal plane ability makes changing holdovers when you change magnification a thing of the past.
The advantages of first focal plane scopes cannot be understated. As you zoom into your target, the etched glass reticle zooms in with you. This means you can set it up once, and never change your holdover at ANY magnification. Get your scope zeroed in, and zoom and boom! Once you land your first long-range hit with this scope, there’s no going back to second focal plane optics again!
This Midas variant features an APRS2 FFP MIL Reticle. This unique system is designed for precision competition shooting and lets you quickly determine your proper holdover position and windage corrections down to 0.2 mil. The floating 0.03 center dot draws a shooter’s vision right on target for fast engagement.

Things I liked: This scope has great glass. I really like the fine reticle.
Things I would have changed: Nothing
What others should know: Close parallax is great for airguns. The scope tracks perfectly. I chose this scope as part of the bundle when I purchased a RAW HM1000X, Im glad I did.
Things I liked: I put the Midas TAC 6-24x50 on top of my FX Impact MkII .30cal 700mm barrel. An absolutely perfect fit with the Vortex Optics Precision Matched 30mm 1.45 inch high rings. The HD glass is stunning! I don't think you can find better glass and features anywhere close to this price. I really like that the parallax focuses in so close. The zero stop is simple and solid and the scope caps line up with the adjustments and are very audible. The reticle is fine and the clarity is just amazing!
Things I would have changed: It should come with a Sunshade like most every other scope company does and be able to purchase Flip Caps! I went with Vortex Optics Defender Riflescope Flip Caps...
What others should know: You will be very happy that you bought one once you start using it! I will upload some pics with the Vortex Optics Defender Riflescope Flip Caps and Vortex Optics Riflescope Lo Pro Bubblevel that I put onto this fabulous scope...
