Learn more about the Dan Wesson 715 6" Pellet Revolver in Dennis Adler's Airgun Experience blog.
The classy Dan Wesson Model 715 double-action revolver is back in production. For revolver lovers, that is welcome news. This highly accurate Airgun replica features all the details that you find on the real firearm. From the one-piece 6-inch heavy barrel, complete with vent rib with threading for mounting accessories, to the Hogue rubber grip. The grip shell has an ingenious integrated tool for tightening the CO2 cartridge that powers the revolver. Even the forward cylinder latch and the clockwise rotation of the cylinder have been precisely replicated from the real firearm. Dan Wesson revolvers became legendary as the preferred choice of serious revolver hunters and competition shooters because they were extremely well made and accurate. Now the legend has been reborn in airgun form.
This pellet version allows for quick and easy rear loading of cartridges, meaning that cartridges do not have to be removed from the drum.

Things I liked: The look and the feel is very nice. I love the feel of the grip it's not a hard plastic but a nice soft polymer.
Things I would have changed: Would love to have a chrome version of this thing.
What others should know: Mine wasn't all that accurate at 10-15 yard not sure if it's the loose fit with the cartridges in the chamber or mine was just flaw but either way a great airgun.

is this STEEL GREY version just painted or real like gun burnished ?
The metal is actually finished in that color, it is not paint
Does the rail mount accessory for optic sights require drilling and tapping the frame or are the screw holes already drilled?
What brand of Co2 cartridge should I use?

Things I liked: Wow!!!! This gun is great. Fit and finish are wonderful. Shoots great my gun seems to like the Crosman 7.9 grain wadcutters. I have been shooting at 10 and 15 yards. This is not a kids airgun. It made for the big boys
Things I would have changed: Nothing
What others should know: It is a little loud , I make sure my neighbors are not in their yards when I use it . If you buy it stock up on CO2 because you will not be able to but it down
