Umarex Legends M1A1 .177 Full Auto Blowback CO2 BB Gun
Famous for its time in military use, and infamous for its use by gangsters during the prohibition era, the M1A1 has a storied history in the United States. Commonly referred to as a "Tommy gun" and "Chicago Typewriter", the real steel version saw U.S. Military service from 1938-1971. The .177 caliber steel BB version features the same iconic looks and functionality as the firearm.
A 30 round stick magazine houses two 12 gram CO2 cartridges that provide enough power to sling steel BBs at up to 435 fps, as well as give an enjoyable recoil impulse thanks to the blowback action. The rifle can be operated in semi-auto or full-auto, sending a full magazine of BBs downrange in a matter of a few seconds.
Well known for producing some of the most enjoyable replica airguns on the market, Umarex brings yet another historically significant firearm to life in airgun form! Era correct faux wood furniture, sights, and sling mounts make the M1A1 a replica that even the most avid collectors will be impressed by!

Things I liked: Boy got the gun on time and what a sweet thing! Shot 100 feet and hit targets 5 inches in diameter almost no drop tip of sight in notch! Need more clips! 20 rounds in 1 to 2 seconds, amazing speed and accurate enough to be effective at 30 feet. The weight and mechanical operation are dead on the real thing. I watched a video of a real gun and this is so close it's gratifying to use. I have the mp40 and a fine gun in full auto but it's slooooow compared to this gun. Worth every penny but I need more BBs because it very fast in auto. The frangible BBs feed perfectly and the Umarex BBs worked without a glitch. I oiled the gun before use to make it smooth.
Things I would have changed: foam fill the stock, and a notch in the groove to hold the clip spring back while loading. it's hard to improve on a really perfect repo of a classic gun.
What others should know: get extra clips and BBs!!!
Things I liked: This Legends M1A1 is definitely a smile machine. It is amazingly accurate for a smooth bore BB gun. At 45-60 feet, hitting plastic water bottles is no problem. It's harder to hit with on full-auto, but who cares? I think it's more fun than is legally allowed in a couple of states! I thought it would be a gas hog but sprayed some silicone lube into the works through the mag well and it smoothed up, and possibly speeded up the lock time. Opening and closing the valve faster may help it to use less gas. The gun gets a good 150 full power shots and starts to slow down by around 180. Tried reloading one more time just to see how much more it would shoot ( BBs are cheap ) but there wasn't enough gas left to empty the mag. Did I mention how much fun this thing is? The only problem I've had so far is that EVERYBODY wants to shoot it! Get one for yourself, you won't regret it, and no, I don't work for Pyramyd Air. Just be sure and stock up on CO2 and BBs. You're going to want to shoot it a lot.
Things I would have changed: The only change I've made was to add a period correct Kerr type sling. Now it's perfect.
What others should know: Keep it lubed. Everything works better and your new toy will last longer. When I change CO2 cylinders, I give it a spritz of oil in the barrel and keep the magazine well lubed inside and out. Don't over-do the oil, just keep everything slippery. Crosman CO2s and Daisy BBs work just fine in my gun..
Things I liked: Everything! A real blast to shoot. Great look, great feel, good accuracy. Reasonable life out of C02 setup.
Things I would have changed: Include or offer a realistic WWII sling.
What others should know: Outstanding product. Great service. Thanks Pyramid.

Assuming this gun is fired 90% of the time in full auto, what is the average lifespan before the gun becomes unservicable? 10,000 shots? 20,000? 50,000?
No one has that information.
The bottom co2 does not punture
The two C02 cartridges are in the magazine, not the stock. CO2 cartridge brands have different seal tips and neck configurations. Try different brands. Swiss Arms and Umarex seem to work better than the cheep Corsman containers. Generally use what works best and keep to that brand because the seals in the mag get an imprint of the seal. Best to stick with Umarex CO2 in a Umarex product. I find it best to not switch around C02 brands. Never leave unused cartridges in the mag for a day or two. Remove them after the shooting is done. Have you heard of the "Penny" trick? The cartridges go into the mag, the small end then the second cartridge goes in the opposite way, the round bottom ends face towards each other. You can take a US penny, and insert it between the 2 cartridges, (bottom ends) as a spacer. You can also use a washer of the same size as a penny for different thickness. Use Caution on the bottom magazine screw not to get it to tight after you hear the piercing of both cartridges. Back off, unscrew the cap 1/4 to 1/2 turn only. Second option, send the defective MAGAZINE back and see how a new one works. Some magazines have defective piercing pins & seals. The Springfield M1 carbine is known for problematic magazines and seals falling out. Or you can send the entire gun back as stated by Mark, but I would try a different mag first. You should have at least two mags for this M1A1. One thing that is great is that Pyramyd Air's warranty is gold. That's why it's best to buy from them.
The gun is defective. Return it.
Does this take BBs or pellets?
