Famous for its time in military use, and infamous for its use by gangsters during the prohibition era, the M1A1 has a storied history in the United States. Commonly referred to as a "Tommy gun" and "Chicago Typewriter", the real steel version saw U.S. Military service from 1938-1971. The .177 caliber steel BB version features the same iconic looks and functionality as the firearm.
A 30 round stick magazine houses two 12 gram CO2 cartridges that provide enough power to sling steel BBs at up to 435 fps, as well as give an enjoyable recoil impulse thanks to the blowback action. The rifle can be operated in semi-auto or full-auto, sending a full magazine of BBs downrange in a matter of a few seconds.

Works really well and after I found out I had to shim the Co2 cartridges to get them both to puncture the gun worked really well. Fairly accurate after setting up a target and find out how far off the sights were, then I could adjust the sights with my eyes and it was a lot better. After the Co2 start getting low and you will l know that by the sound the gun makes your accuracy falls way off!
Things I Would Have ChangedEasier sight adjustments, better magazines that puncture both of the Co2 cartridges and I have two and both were the same and would not puncture the bottom Co2 cartridge!
What Others Should KnowThe gun functions perfectly even if only one Co2 cartridge is punctured, but last a lot longer if both cartridges are punctured and I used two flat washers to shim the bottom cartridge out and now they work perfectly!

This thing is gangs of fun!!!! Of course it goes through BBs & gas like crazy, but it's a lot cheaper than the real thing. I really like that it's got all the controls like a real M1A (I've handled, but never shot one). I noticed the same problem other people seem to have, that it doesn't always pierce both cylinders.
Things I Would Have ChangedIs there something that would make loading the BBs easier? I keep spilling them everywhere.
What Others Should KnowThe sight is a bit coarse, but hey, it was good enough in WWII, you just have to take care aiming.
