The Air Venturi Avenge-X Classic PCP Air Rifle with synthetic stock is a modular system that provides premium performance at a reasonable price. The modular nature of the platform means that one air rifle fills many needs, because it can be tuned for numerous uses and also adapted with additional accessories.
The modular system for this air rifle allows shooters to purchase caliber change kits, and several stock options that come in either a carbon fiber bottle or air tube version. The caliber change kits work with all versions of the platform and the stocks and accessories are compatible with the air reservoir option of the same type, creating multiple varieties. You can also change the air reservoir to suit your shot count needs.
This air rifle has a wide variety of adjustable features, including many that shooters have come to rely on, such as the externally adjustable hammer spring and externally-adjustable regulator. Furthering the flexibility of this modular PCP, it also has an externally-adjustable two-position transfer port and a two-stage adjustable trigger.
This model of the Air Venturi Avenge-X Classic features a synthetic stock with sling mounting holes in the front and rear of the stock, as well as a textured grip, both of which make it easy to carry and hold the air rifle. The threaded dust cap helps keep debris and dirt out of the convenient male quick-disconnect fill fitting on the end of the tube or bottle that facilitates simple and quick filling.
This air rifle has a high shot count for extended shooting time, and it comes with a high-capacity magazine, a standard magazine, and a single-shot tray, and it has a reversible sidelever that enables ambidextrous operation. It has a Weaver/Picatinny optics rail that allows shooters to add scopes and other optics, and it offers a Picatinny accessory rail for adding items such as lasers, bipods, and lights.

Being my first PCP airgun, the fit and finish are superb. I have the 177 and when you find the pellet that it likes, lookout. Mine shoots about 3/4 inch groups at 50 yards. That's with Benjamin 10.4 pellet and JSB 13.4 slugs.
Things I would have changed:Make the stock lighter and take the front hump out.

I got the avenge x in 22 cal for Christmas. I have other break barrel air rifles so this is my first PCP. What a difference. The avenge x is hands down the most accurate and powerful air rifle I have. Out to 40 yards and I'm getting groups under half an inch. In January I ordered the other two barrels .177 and the .25 caliber change kits. For the money the avenge x is the best value for a first PCP air rifle.
Things I would have changed:As of now I can't thing of anything I would change.
What others should know:I wish it wouldn't take so long to get the barrel change kits (.177and 25 cal) I ordered back in January.

scope mount height for the 25 cal?
I have a 56mm objective scope and it takes a high mount.
If I had a way to send you a picture of mine I would show the high cap magazine with medium mounts and a 30mm scope tube.

I have a high mount, but depending on your scope size, you might could us a medium mount. My low mount did not work.
Curious what how PA got the 49 FPE with the 22. I maxed my reg at around 3k and 8 turns in on the HS. Absolute most i could get out of her with the 25.4 pellet was 42 FPE.
Update .. stock spring back in. Reg at 2200.HS +4 1/2. Gun is really comfortable at 800 fps or 36 FPE. Seems like 2200-2400 is where this gun shoots the best. 40 FPE being the max with the 22 setup and plenum size. Not sure i buy the 50 FPE with the 22 as advertised on this and various sites.
3/21 update,most i was able to achieve with the upgraded HS and valve spring, 45 fpe reg at 2750 and +3 HS.
Fwiw when i was at 3k I started the HS at 0 and worked it up to the 40 FPE. I was maxed at about 6 turns .. 7/8 did make a small change in FPS but min. With that said + 6 was in the 39 range. Transfer port on high. Funny i broke the stock HS on my last shot set that high. I now have Alien Airs upgraded spring. Still playing around but i hit 40 fpe with the reg at 2400 and 1 turn in with the stiffer spring. Slinging the 21 Hn’s at 900 25.4 KO slugs at 790 Most range in the 35-36 fpe range. Highest FPE with the 25.4 pellets but no where close to 50 fpe. Still. Fwiw Steves video tuning/testing the Avenger 22 40/42 was its max with the same pellets.
I shoot the H&N 27 grain (HP) and I've gotten 935fps, HS one full turn from max and reg set at 25/2600, TP on high. Maybe have pyramyd check it out or replace it

Those settings are way too high, you’re waisting air. Max FPE is from slugs, not pellets. You’d probably eclipse 49 fpe with a slug at that setting.
Hi Ken. You didn't mention the transfer port. Was it on high or low? I'm not an expert at tuning and I'm not sure how they got the 49 FPE. Out of the box on factory settings (Reg: 1800, HS: 2 turns in, TP: high) with a Small 0dB moderator, I was getting 825 FPS out of H&N 21gr .217 dia. slugs giving me an average of just over 32 FPE to start. I have no pellets or slugs weighing 25 or so grains so I can't give a definitive answer to your question but I got that for over 70 shots on one fill. I'm sure someone here may be able to give you a better answer though.

Awesome accuracy I've shot a variety of different weight slugs and pellets and so far I haven't had any issues with any of them it has plenty of power I like the modular design and the adjustability it makes it much easier to make it suit your individual needs
Things I would have changed:Charging handle gets caught on clothing while using a sling that's really my only issue to make it less likely maybe make the end of the charging handle curve in towards the stock and lay flush against it
What others should know:This is my first pcp and I haven't used the first gen avenger but I think it's well worth the money and anyone looking for a budget friendly pcp will be very satisfied with it
