The Athlon Optics Helos BTR GEN2 6-24x56 Rifle Scope with APRS6 FFP MIL reticle is designed to provide superior performance for long range hunting and shooting applications. It utilizes a one piece heat treated 34mm aircraft-grade aluminum tube for durability, and a 56mm objective lens for excellent light transmission and clarity.
This scope uses XPL protective coating on the advanced fully-multicoated lenses, which results in increased protection from dirt and oil, helping it to deliver crisp and clean views in spite of challenging conditions. The scope is waterproof, shockproof, and argon purged, which means it has improved fogproofing compared to scopes that use less-effective purging methods.
The Athlon Optics Helos BTR GEN2 6-24x56 prevents unintended adjustments because it has exposed locking turrets, as well as a precision zero stop on the elevation turret. Each turret uses .1 MIL increments and 10 MIL per revolution, and the windage turret adjusts in a 25 MIL range, while the elevation turret adjusts in a 29 MIL range.
The APRS6 FFP (first focal plane) MIL reticle utilizes etched glass for improved visibility and has hash marks and crosshairs extending in all directions, as well as a Christmas tree portion with holdover dots and markings on the bottom. Variable brightness illumination can be activated to light up the crosshairs and the holdover portion of the reticle.

I did a lot of research before buying this. It lives up to the hype. Since buying it ive put 300 rnds of 300 win mag down range with it over a few weekends, with long drives on primitive roads to shooting locations and no zero shift. The glass is clear with a bit of chromatic aberration, but not a lot by any means. the eye box is forgiving until you get way up in the 24 power but the most I've actually shot at was 16 power at 600 yards. 24 is more for spotting impacts locations on steel, without switching over to a spotting scope. The only reason I gave this one less star, is the upper locking turret is somewhat stubborn. It takes a decent amount of force to pull up and doesn't have a positive click like the windage knob does. This could just be a issue on my specific scope.
