Cold Steel 2 Handed 21" Latin Machete

This is a great tool. I have it with me in a secure spot always. Mine came sharp and it is strong enough to almost dig with.

Fantastic blade, I am a land surveyor and cut line through the woods daily. Had a great first day with it however, for what I was using it for it may of been too much. The handle started breaking off in chunks. Now it's a one handed machete. A solid enough blade once I put a new handle on it

A lot of the things you buy today are absolutely not worth of money. this machete is one of the things that is worth your money. This thing is super comfortable super sharp and it is solid. It will handle anything that you need a machete for.

Nice steel and a great thickness to the blade. The site says that they sharpen the blades when they're received. The angle of the grind edge was awful and uneven. I spent two hours putting a double 14 degree angle and polishing the blade and now it performs excellently. With a correct edge along with the nice factory handle and weight it's turned out to be very efficient.

my grandpa bought me this machete out of a catalogue when I was a kid around 20 years ago and I still have it I highly recommend it I've cut all sorts of vines and brush and even smaller trees down with it and haven't ever had a issue.

If you've ever bought a cheap hardware store machete you know how disappointing they are, they start to dull from the very first swing. It's because they're made of soft metal, either not tempered at all or tempered badly. This blade isn't even in the same category, they shouldn't be referred to using the same name. The first time you swing this you know it's different, you can really get some power into your swing with 2 hands, it slices right through vines and vegetation. One time in a pinch I had to cut through a 3" tree branch. Sure I would've rather used my chainsaw, but I didn't have it with me. I was afraid it would take an hour but no way! Each hack sent chunks flying! Unlike an axe I knew I would hit it with every swing. In a short matter of minutes, I was through! Cutting through wood really isn't what this was made for, I felt the edge expecting it to be flattened and dented from my abuse -- I was swinging it at wood with everything I had! I could barely tell it had been used! Unreal! I've had it now for 8 years or so, it could surely use a sharpening by now, in fact that's what brought me back to this site. But I have used it so many times and it is still sharper than a cheap one, it is still very functional. Dozens of cheap ones couldn't have cut all that this one has! I'm not sure if I was more impressed the first time I used it, or now after all these years. This blade is peerless, I would never want to be without a Cold Steel machete!
