I bought it a couple of weeks ago, intended for a medieval faire, however, this is so well build I really feel that it could break anything! Of course we don't live in a time anymore where carrying it around is necessary, but still it feels amazing. I just wish they made a longer handle option to switch between, but in any case, thank you Cold Steel, love my mace!
I too had been keeping an eye on this item until the release about a couple weeks ago. It has been a long wait( pre pandemic ), but well worth it. I purchased a similar Cold steel product back in the late 1990s or early 2000s. This newer model is compact, with 6 thick shallow flanges and a 15” handle. The older version has 5 thinner deeper flanges, a 9” longer handle and has a more industrial design. They weigh about the same. Love them both!
almost indestructible, zero maintenance , totally reliable . only potential issue: the shaft. It's very smooth so it could become slippery with sweat, or you might loose control if your hand begins to get tired. Also the shaft is very short. Even an additional six inches would make a big difference. so would some sort of knurling or texture on the shaft or a swelling or knob at the end like on a baseball bat would aid in grip retention. but wood can be easily replaced. a super fun weekend project with a 1 1/4 diameter shovel handle, a little sand paper and a wood file, and wow, a custom handle tailored to your personal preferences! Soooo worth the price!

Never knew I was a mace guy, always had my suspicions but now I’m certain. Only had it two weeks and my arms are now made of wood. The handle is starting to warp, if it gets to bad I’ll just put it on a 30” stave.
