The Gamo Swarm Viper 10X Gen3i Multi-Shot Air Rifle is a versatile airgun with improved technology and a focus on comfort. With alloy pellet velocities up to 1300 FPS in .177 and 1000 FPS in .22, it offers excellent performance for pest control, small-game hunting, and plinking.
This breakbarrel air rifle uses Gamo's improved 10X Gen3i magazine technology that provides ease of use with a horizontal, inertia-fed magazine that is lower-profile and lighter than previous versions for a smooth and compact loading and shooting experience. In addition, the two-stage Custom Action Trigger lets shooters independently adjust the travel of the first and second stages.
The Gamo Swarm Viper Gen3i uses an all-weather nylon stock that is filled with automotive-grade glass, and it includes non-slip checkered rubber inserts on the forearm and grip, as well as a rubber insert on the cheekpiece for comfort. It also utilizes a Shock Wave Absorber recoil pad that helps to reduce the forces generated by recoil by up to 74%.
The aluminum 11mm dovetail Recoil Reducing Rail helps protect optics by significantly lowering the amount of recoil transmitted by the rail, and the package includes a Gamo 3-9x40mm scope and rings to help deliver accurate shots out of the box. The airgun also uses Whisper Maxxim noise suppression technology with two silencing chambers to reduce recoil and lower noise.

Very accurate with light weight slugs and pellets right out of the box.
Things I Would Have ChangedMore room for scope eye relief and ammo magazine loading. The scope needs to be in the furthermost rearward position in the mounts.

Things I Would Have ChangedAfter two months of light shooting the loading mechanism failed. The actual moving part of the mechanism separated from its housing (shroud). I was able to reset ( I won't say fix) it, but it continues to separate from the housing, sometimes on the first cocking, but I can never get more than three shots before the problem recurs. Now that I have decided to replace the mechanism I am told by Pyramyd that they don't carry the part and I need to go directly to Gamo. I have taken the mechanism off and now shoot as I would any other single shot break barrel.
The overall look of the rifle. The grips on the stock. The weight.
Things I Would Have ChangedA better scope would be nice. Also iron sights. More power for the long shots up in a 100 foot oak.
What Others Should KnowGreat value gun for what it is. Just don't think cause it's pretty it's gonna do the same as a pcp.
I started in breaI started years ago in break barrel guns and then got addicted to the PCP world, a FX Wildcat sniper which can be quite boring after a while when you keep hitting the bullseye shot after shot, but I wanted something that I didn't have to rely on air and I hate break barrels for single feed loading, when Gamo came out with their magazine system I was quite interested picked up this Gamo viper gen 3i, and right out of the box a dime group at 25 yards ! a good gun for motorhome they say the red fires were good for the gun, they shot well but hard to load I found that the crosman hollow points held good grouping and also the JSB E J diablos grouped well also but anytime you can find a gun that handles crosman hollow points for $6 a tin you've got a true winner.
