The Hatsan Flash QE Regulated PCP Air Rifle represents an important evolution in this successful lineup, with quiet power and consistency. It offers lead pellet velocities up to 1150 FPS in .177, 1000 FPS in .22, and 900 FPS in .25 and energy up to 29 FPE in .177, 38 FPE in .22, and 40 FPE in .25 to deliver the accuracy needed for effective pest control, small game hunting, and target practice.
This air rifle features a regulator with a pressure of 125-130 BAR (1813-1885 PSI) that leads to smooth and consistent performance for each shot that leaves the barrel. In addition, it has a 215cc air cylinder that allows for up to 55 shots at optimal velocity* in .177 and .22 and 50 shots in .25, and it has an integrated pressure gauge for simple monitoring of the fill level.
The Hatsan Flash QE Regulated PCP utilizes a precision rifled and choked barrel for accurate shots, and the two-stage Quattro Trigger is fully adjustable for a sharp and crisp break. The all-weather synthetic thumbhole stock has an ergonomic grip and texturing on the forearm to provide a firm and comfortable hold, as well as a rubber buttpad.
In order to aid aiming, this air rifle comes with an 11mm dovetail/Picatinny optics rail for adding a scope or other optic, and a forearm Picatinny accessory rail for attaching a bipod or other items. I’ve only had this gun for a few days. I bought it to replace my normal flash 22 because the flash R has a regulator, the air tube was 215cc instead of 165cc, it airs to 250 bar instead of 200, and the barrel is 23” instead of 17”. The side lever is nice and smooth. The bolt action on the normal flash was really gritty until you took it apart and cleaned and lubed it. I’ve done nothing to the flash R except mounting a scope on it.
Things I would have changed:I do not like the way the barrel pinch bolts protrude into the gaps on the picatinny rail for the scope. Makes it to where the front mount only fits in one gap. I haven’t tried the dovetail rail yet, but it looks like it has a nice stop. Plastic, though. Because of the regulator, the air gauge is mounted on the front of the air tube, so you’re trying not to point the barrel at yourself while checking the air pressure. That seems really odd because there’s no air gauge in its normal spot on the bottom. Usually there’s one gauge for cylinder pressure, and one gauge for regulator pressure.
What others should know:I believe this gun is based on the flash 101, not available in the USA. It is definitely not the same as a normal flash. The magazines fit. I got my scope dialed in, and this thing is stacking pellets at about 30 yards. Once I spend some more time with it, I’m sure I could probably give it 5 stars overall. It seems to be laser accurate, just get your scope dialed in. I will try out the dove tail mounts and report back. This is my 3 day review. So far, so good, but I believe it will get better.

Things I would have changed:I would have love to see the same stock as my first qe...this air rifle is a little bulky and on a little of the heavy side.
