Sig Sauer continues to improve on the design of pellet pistols for some of their most celebrated firearms. As part of this new standard for CO2 air pistols, SIG Sauer has created a 20rd belt fed CO2 version of the 226 X-Five ASP Pistol.
The 20rd magazine is where the X-Five ASP really shines through. This design allows for 20 semi-auto shots be to be taken before reloading while other pellet pistols use small capacity rotary mags that must be reloaded after every 6-8 shots. Once you load up your magazine and the CO2, you can shoot your pellets downrange at speeds up to 380 fps to shred paper targets and blast down soda cans. While designed for pellet shooting, you can also load up BBs. For even faster-paced shooting sessions, you can further customize the gun with lasers or flashlights mounted to its Weaver/Picatinny accessory rail.
With this many shots, this pistol is great for hours of plinking fun and a welcome addition for owners of the real steel SIG 226. If you like CO2 replicas with more shooting and less reloading, this is the air pistol you've been waiting for!

No problem so far. This air pistol is well made and just works flawlessly.
I love this comes with adjustable rear site (windage and elevation), even with blowback I never experienced much drift with them. Heavier design reduces muzzle rise just like the firearm version it is based on, seriously reducing my time on target. Accurate (quarter size area on target) at 10 meters with sites alone using newly inserted CO2 cartridge and domed pellets (7-8 grain works best for me). Perfect for plinking, chasing pigeons off the roof, and discouraging coyotes (four-legged version) from thinking I'm "Meals on Wheels" (I'm in a wheelchair, stings them without causing actual harm to them since they are never in season). Longer barrel allows for more accurate shots. just like the firearm version. I love the belt design for the ammo feed Sig uses. Clear instructions (read before anything else). Safety and trigger work like the firearm version once properly worn and lubed (about 10 CO2 cartridges worth for me), INCLUDING the ammo belts.
Things I Would Have ChangedI would have strongly preferred that the hammer could be de-cocked, my long hair keeps snagging on it when it is not while holstered (yes, I tie my hair back). Inability to disassemble even partially makes inspecting, clearing of jams, cleaning and lubing much more difficult than it needs to be. Safety and trigger feel very dry, a bit worrisome until broken in a bit. Bluing comes off the accessory mount easily when swapping out or just mounting or unmounting lasers and lights as needed for whatever. Seals and puncture-pin for CO2 cartridge wear out easily, though I have found a drop of PellGun oil at the tip of the cartridge limits this significantly. Like the P320 M17 counterpart, it seems to go through CO2 rather quickly, resulting in frequent jams (I use the ink tube from an old stick pen to push jammed pellets back into ammo belts so mag can be removed and barrel can be fully cleared).
What Others Should KnowLike the firearm version, this is a longer barreled pistol and significantly heavier than most pistols. I use only PellGun oil for all lube needs as it is easier to dry up excess and it seeps perfectly into hammer, trigger, and safety (will need to allow during a break-in period of about 10 mags). NEVER use BB's with this one (says so in instructions, which you must always read with any new pistol or rifle, whether a firearm or otherwise). I strongly recommend only using .177 (4.5 mm) PISTOL cleaning rods, felt pellets, and pellets. Non-Pb pellets tend to be too light and tumble regardless of tip design. I tend to treat jams as a sign the CO2 pressure is too low for the pistol to work properly, which sharply reduces the jams I experience. Using PellGun oil on CO2 cartridge does likewise. I'm still using the same one I bought several years ago, only had to replace seals (via a friend who is a gunsmith) once in all that time. Not able to handle optical sites, never needed to use.
Awesome air pistol mimics the real thing looks awesome!!!!
This feels like a solid replica of a firearm. The weight is good. I've owned a couple CO2 pellet guns and I like the CO2 cartridge cam loading system, better than others..
Things I Would Have ChangedThis is not a very accurate target shooter. It might be good for the firearm owner who wants to save money on ammo, or get some practice at home. I don't care for the blowback, it reminds me of shooting my friends 'springer' rifle. I'd gladly sacrifice the blowback effect for more accuracy. Adjustable sights? on a sliding receiver? This gun doesn't want to stay sighted in. I have to adjust the sights at the beginning of each shooting session. I don't know about machining tolerances affecting accuracy, or how much 'play' is normal but some folks who own Sig firearms, say these replica's disappoint.
What Others Should KnowThis gun proved to be a major disappointment. I've owned a couple CO2 wheel guns, and was looking forward to a semi-auto. Unfortunately, this gun doesn't shoot accurately enough for my liking. I can only get a decent group shooting benchrest at 20ft. The magazine clip isn't very well designed, but it does function well enough if adequately lubricated.. Using lithium oxide grease to lube the chain belts works, but that was too messy for me. I ride mountain bikes, and the magazine chain belts reminded me of bicycle chains. I found that the newer wax-like 'dry' bicycle chain lubes, worked much better than lithium grease. Try "MUC-OFF Dry Lube". Pointed pellets are too long and will jam the action. The ideal pellet length is 5mm. I have successfully run Meisterkugeln wadcutter pellets, as well as the JSB Diablo Exact dome headed pellets through this gun and had no jamming issues. Using a probe to seat the pellets provides some consistency in positioning.
Large capacity magazine however it jams constantly.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe chain magazine is a good idea but it needs to be redesigned as it jams constantly.
What Others Should KnowThe sights were way off and barely able to sight it in. The CO2 cartridge is difficult to remove. Its a nice clip in but does not come out easily. Also I didnt get a lot of shots out of a CO2 cartridge. Id recommend forget the blow back slide and use the CO2 for firing. I returned the gun.
This pistol is very easy to handle.

What Others Should KnowThat this pistol is worth for the money
I have several Sig pellet guns and have been happy with them over the year.
Well made. This pistol is up to usual Sig-Sauer standards I have come to expect. Especially valuable in a time when 9mm ammo is so expensive.

Very accurate air pistol like my other SIG air pistols. I love the adjustable rear sight. I have absolutely no problems with the magazine. I think people who complain of magazine jams aren't using wad cutters and are maybe not fully seating the pellet. You have to use flat wad cutters in air pistols. There's not enough room for a domed pellet.
Things I Would Have ChangedMaybe slightly higher fps. I wish they had the dots or white outline on the rear sight. It's blank.
What Others Should KnowGreat accurate pistol. The adjustable rear sight is a game changer.
