SOG Vision Xr - Straight Edge, Black

Amazing knife only thing I didn’t like is detent is a little week it swings open with just a bit of wrist action but all in all good blade for the money!

I'm no knife expert to say the least. But I have handled a few custom knives made by knife makers in Tucson. The flipping action on this knife is very close to those premium flippers. Recommend it highly for an EDC. Would love to see it in titanium. And what a price.

Excellent knife! Great as an EDC but heavy duty for the tough work. I like the Tanto blade but I wish SOG would make one with a Spear or Clip point. Regardless you can't go wrong with it!

Bought this to add to my collection and was pleasantly surprised. Action is responsive although a little bouncy on the close with the XR feature. Snaps open using the thumb or kick. I prefer the kick. Well made and extremely sharp blade out of the box. Better size as an EDC rather than my Prohen. Almost automatic like operation after wear in. Recommend it highly.

This was the best knife I'd ever owned until I lost it. And I miss it - a lot. The pocket clip doesn't hold it's spring and loosens up. I used pliers to tighten up the bite of the clip a couple of times. It was needing it again, when I lost it. I think it dropped from my pocket getting into my jeep. So don't buy the vision xr relying on the clip - it won't hold up. Instead buy the knife for the amazing xr lock and the bearing action. You'll just keep opening and closing it like a figit spinner. If feels great in the hand, hefty and solid. The G10 surface has tons of grip. The tanto cut has a great angle for lots of different cuts. I carried it everyday and loved it.

Solid build, great steel choice, smooth drop shut action and easy deployment, not much to complain about really. Clip makes it ride a little high in the pocket, but that's minor and I can't retract a star just for that. Overall a really excellent, high quality knife for utility/tacticool purposes.

So far, so good. The knife exceeded my expectations and feels like a very good value for the price. The action is nice and smooth right out of the box. No break in period whatsoever. The blade is rock solid when open but there is some very tiny blade movement in the closed position. It's barely noticeable and it doesn't negatively affect my rating of this knife, I just thought that some people might want to know this before the knife arrives.

I have almost all of the xr line from sog and this is the one I carry they most. The action is great, and paired with the XHP steel you can’t go wrong.

I carry this every day, it replaced a Kershaw that I had been using for the last year or so. I really like the size of the pocket clip, its easy to open but stays close din my pocket. The texture of the grip is awesome..
