Description
The Umarex Prymex Break Barrel Air Rifle delivers surprising performance and features at a very affordable price from a respected and dependable manufacturer. It is capable of velocities up to 1100 FPS with alloy pellets and 1000 FPS with lead pellets, both in .177, which yields the necessary power and accuracy for pest control, small-game hunting, and plinking.
This air rifle features a gas piston powerplant that provides shooters with smooth and consistent operation regardless of temperature, with less noise and vibration for improved performance with lower recoil. It can be left cocked longer than a traditional spring piston, and it does not suffer from spring fatigue, so it can provide years of trouble-free use that will not degrade over time.
The Umarex Prymex utilizes a lightweight all-weather polymer stock that makes it easy to carry for long periods, and it has a textured pistol grip and a textured and grooved forearm for a stable hold. For precise shots without needing additional equipment, this air rifle offers several options. It includes a hooded fiber optic front sight and an adjustable fiber optic rear sight. In addition, it comes with a 4x32 scope that attaches to the 11mm dovetail optics rail.
To get an air gun that offers flexible features with a focus on providing high value at a low price for small-game hunting, plinking, and pest control, buy the Umarex Prymex Break Barrel Air Rifle at Pyramyd AIR today.

In terms of value for money, you'd be hard pressed to find anything better for anywhere near the price. You get a heck of a lot of rifle for $100, and it's well built to boot. It's solidly put together and actually quite ergonomic to hold. A decent heft, but not too heavy. Not necessarily easy to cock the barrel, but not prohibitively difficult either (just need a good grip with the opposite hand). Shoots like a dream, with very light recoil. Should have 0 problems nailing any squirrel or blue jay that may cross your path. Seems to handle less than perfect pellets well also, as I've put ~100 gamo redfires through it (which I'm thoroughly unimpressed with, many with bent skirts and missing tips) and I've yet to have any fliers or jams.
Things I Would Have ChangedThere are only two things I'd change: 1, the front end of the stock. Overall it's great, and really does make getting a solid grip easier. Only problem is, the very front curves down into a sharp point on either side of the barrel. Presumably this is for the sake of resting your hand against, but ultimately it just serves to poke you in the shoulder and back when using a sling. Minor, but uncomfortable. Also relatively minor, the scope. The scope itself really isn't bad, especially considering (again) value for money. But I was hoping it'd be the sort with actual knobs to adjust for windage and elevation. Instead, you remove the faux knobs from the side and top and adjust very unintuitive screw mechanisms with a screwdriver. In fairness this seems to be standard for most cheaper scopes, but it's slow and confusing to adjust which makes quick changes impossible, and as there's no explanation of zeroing in the manual for the scope or gun and it's entirely unintuitive, less than ideal.
What Others Should KnowOther than those two minor gripes, like I said, value for money you won't find a better deal. $100 for a rifle this capable, this well out together and this fun to shoot is an insane deal, especially considering the $300-400 you could be spending. Umarex hit it out of the park with this one.
