Weathered Legends MP40 BB Submachine Gun w/ Leather Strap
Read more about the Weathered Legends MP40 at Tom Gaylord's Airgun Academy
For years the Legends series by Umarex has brought historic firearms to life as airgun replicas for shooting enthusiasts.
Now Umarex has created their very own German MP40 submachine gun replica. This .177 caliber BB rifle promises hours of fun with a 60 round magazine and full auto capability! Powered by two 12 gram CO2 cartridges, simply select full or semi-automatic firing, and mow down tin cans like never before. This battle worn MP40 features a distinctive weathered finish and a leather strap for easy and authentic field carry.
The "real steel" MP40 was first developed in 1940 for German paratroopers and later became the standard submachine gun for the Wehrmacht infantry. The Legends MP40 is a faithful replica that will transport you back in time the minute you pick it up. The realism is highlighted by the full metal body and folding shoulder stock. The hooded front sight and adjustable rear sight stay true to the original design and keep your eyes on the prize.
For fans of WWII military arms, this legendary gun can finally be yours!
Please Note: Do not use with Smart Shot BBs as it will cause the airgun to jam. For best results, do not fill more than 40-45 BBs at a time. Overfilling can cause jams.

Things I liked: A fun, very much like the original piece of history.
Things I would have changed: The leather strap was marginally good
Things I liked: I waited to buy this version and glad I did. Not that it is probably better than the original but I prefer the weathered look. And it comes with a leather strap that I was going to buy anyway. This gun performs well, very accurate and reliable. From what I can determine the magazine is the same as the originals with no follower catch. I use Daisy Premium BBS and Crosman CO2. I bought a 5" Allen wrench for screwing down CO2 nut. The one in the box was too short for me-not enough torque.Just a couple of jams but easily cleared with a recharge of the bolt. I actually find that adds to the realism as the real guns were not perfect either. I did change the sling to the right side for more realism (imho) but either side works well. Overall very happy with my purchase
Things I would have changed: Magazine follower catch.
What others should know: I found using my index finger pulling straight back works the best for loading. Also before loading first CO2 cartridges screw the nut as far as it will go to the stop. that will give an idea how far down it needs to go and the feel to puncture both cartridges. I lightly silicone sprayed the magazine spring and follower. Also, the end of the shoulder stock as that the folding shoulder piece was a bit tight.

Does this new version come with an improved magazine?
Not that I have heard about
Dare you to make that PCP!
Not sure that would be an easy one. Though connecting the mag to a bottle with a regulator would be doable I'm sure
