For years the Legends series by Umarex has brought historic firearms to life as airgun replicas for shooting enthusiasts.
Now Umarex has created their very own German MP40 submachine gun replica. This .177 caliber BB rifle promises hours of fun with a 60 round magazine and full auto capability! Powered by two 12 gram CO2 cartridges, simply select full or semi-automatic firing, and mow down tin cans like never before. This battle worn MP40 features a distinctive weathered finish and a leather strap for easy and authentic field carry.
The "real steel" MP40 was first developed in 1940 for German paratroopers and later became the standard submachine gun for the Wehrmacht infantry. The Legends MP40 is a faithful replica that will transport you back in time the minute you pick it up. The realism is highlighted by the full metal body and folding shoulder stock. The hooded front sight and adjustable rear sight stay true to the original design and keep your eyes on the prize.
For fans of WWII military arms, this legendary gun can finally be yours!
Please Note: Do not use with Smart Shot BBs as it will cause the airgun to jam. For best results, do not fill more than 40-45 BBs at a time. Overfilling can cause jams.

Things I liked: Just about everything, fun to shoot
Things I would have changed: have a magazine spring catch so the mag stays open when loading bbs. What a pain. I just bent a small wire to hold it open. That made it much easier and faster to reload the mags.
What others should know: First tried with Crosman Copperhead bbs. Many jams per magazine. Frustrating, made it no fun to shoot. Was wasting a lot of CO2 pressure because of the jamming (only 2 clips thru gun per 2 co2 cartridges). Switched over to Umarex Black Diamond Steel BBs .... the problem with bbs jamming in the magazines disappeared. Mags thru gun on Co2 cartridges increased too (shot 3-1/2 clips decently (pressure/speed wise) on 2 co2 cartridges and all 4 clips emptied but last half of last magazine came out without much velocity). Get an Umarex Universal Steel BB Speedloader, makes it much easier and faster to load the mags. Speedloader adapters don't work with these magazines but with a little practice loads magazines just fine.
Things I liked: Perfect replica all steel
Things I would have changed: I would put a stronger spring in the magazine to push the BBs up faster with the copper BBs you have to turn it sideways in order for it to feed fast.Steel BBs seem to fade quicker through the magazine
Things I liked: Look and feel is great
Things I would have changed: The magazine does not feed right basically makes the gun unusable
What others should know: Its cool but does not function right

What portions of the gun are metal?
Basically everything except the brown parts, those are molded plastic.
Does this new version come with an improved magazine?
Not that I have heard about
Dare you to make that PCP!
Not sure that would be an easy one. Though connecting the mag to a bottle with a regulator would be doable I'm sure
