Things I liked: Everything. Fair price and excellent performance.

Things I would have changed: Nothing

What others should know: Spring compressor mandatory. New spring almost 2 in longer than old spring which is 25 years old. Original spring always had the (twang) when firing. New spring fires fairly harsh but without the (twang).Almost feels like a gas ram when firing. My Beeman R1 with new spring and seals avg 815 fps with 10.65 beeman Kodiaks. Brought this wonderful old rifle back to new life.

Value for money:4.0

Things I liked: Quality and ease of installation

Things I would have changed: Nothing

What others should know: This is a follow-up to my initial review. After settling out, the extreme spread dropped significantly to 15fps, average velocity increased slightly to 907fps and standard deviation is 4. The quality of this spring (not to mention the rifle) is outstanding.

Things I liked: Identical to original. Polished and smooth so a drop in once lubed

Things I would have changed: Nothing

What others should know: It's been almost 6 years since the first review was posted. The BNP-9033 spring I received today is the same length as the original factory spring in my 30-year-old R1. A spring compressor is NOT mandatory as stated in Gary's review. Don't make the mistake I did and order the Rail Lock Spring Compressor. The R1 End Cap is easily installed by hand. There are a few U Tube videos on R1 disassembly that confirm this. As far as performance, I was clocking 7.0 gr Meisters at an average of 819 fps with the old spring. I fired 50 shots or so after the install. The new spring increased average velocity 80 fps. I guess my R1 wasn't as tired as I thought it was. But the extreme spread is about 50 fps so I would expect things to improve with use.
