The latest addition to our line-up of high-performance swords is inspired by examples of early 17th Century Polish Sabers. Used both on horseback and on foot, these battlefield sabers had a fearsome reputation, not least for the skill-at-arms of the Polish Noblemen who wielded them, but also for their phenomenal cutting potential. Our interpretation of this historically significant blade was designed by custom bladesmith Dave Baker, and is made from expertly heat treated Carbon Steel. With a fully sharpened, distal tapered and strongly curved blade, the Polish Saber is capable of delivering exceptional cuts, while still remaining stiff enough for the thrust. Equipped with a solid steel, brass inlaid guard and knuckle bow for hand protection and a functional thumb ring to facilitate the moulinet allowing the wielder to keep the blade in continuous motion, parrying, cutting and changing direction at great speed! With an eye-catching leather wire wrapped hilt, and matching leather scabbard and brass inlays left blank for personal engraving, this sword is as good looking as it is functional, and its sure to be the pride of any European Martial Artist or blade enthusiasts collection.

I took my new Polish Saber for a ride on my mare last evening, and I am delighted with my purchase. This is definitely a sturdy piece of weaponry, very thick where it joins the hilt. I love the balance and I love the thumb ring (first time I ever used one of those, makes the grip very secure when mounted). The point is useless due to the curvature--NOT a criticism!!--just pointing out that this saber is designed as a purely slashing weapon. In that regard, it would be fearsome for hussars to use it in pursuit of routed infantry--limbs everywhere!
For the price point, this is a work of art. Only snooty swordsman compare this blade to one over a thousand.

Much, much, much too heavy. The balance could definitely be better. The handle will also be far too big for 90% of users and for a sabre with a thumb ring this matters a lot. Quality/price ratio still good
Looks great and well made. Way too long for an infantry saber.
This is one of my favorite cold steel swords. The handle is a bit long but not an issue. It performs amazingly and is stunning and well detailed.

Overall its very nice, however after wearing it on my belt for a bit the lower mounting piece came completely unglued and the top one wiggles. The stain on the scabbard has also begun to chip. The sword itself has nothing wrong with it, just the scabbard seems to be lower quality.
