The Gamo P-430 CO2 Dual-Ammo Air Pistol offers a unique feature for an airgun in this category and at this price point: the ability to shoot both pellets and BBs without needing special adapter cartridges or a separate magazine. Capable of velocities up to 495 FPS with alloy pellets, it delivers the performance needed for plinking and target practice.
This airgun utilizes a trigger which works in either single-action mode by using the slide for cocking, or double-action mode to both cock and shoot, which helps to simulate semi-auto operation by allowing the user to shoot as fast as their reflexes allow. The magazine is double-sided and has a 16-round capacity, with a rotary clip on each end that holds 8 rounds.
The Gamo P-430 is powered by a single 12-gram CO2 cartridge that is accessed by removing the back of the grip, and it features tool-free cartridge switching because of the thumbscrew that tightens to pierce and hold the cartridge and loosens to release the cartridge. The grip has texturing on both the left and right side, as well as ridges on the front and rear for a comfortable and non-slip hold.
In order to provide accurate shots, this air pistol utilizes a fixed front post sight and a fixed rear notch sight, and the Weaver accessory rail under the muzzle allows for the attachment of items such as lights and lasers.

Nice little pistol. This is my first CO2 pistol. As a kid I had access to a Crosman pump. That was heavy, the P430 is very light. It has a fast action for the price. It is very accurate for fixed sights at 20 feet. I think the increased power comes from the fact that the action is mechanical. You feel it in the trigger pull.
Things I would have changed:At this price I wouldn't change anything.
What others should know:The power of a new cartridge would do rats and small birds, but it would have to be head shots. Stocking close enough would be very difficult, unless you are a Ninja. It takes some work to keep from pulling it off target. I got used to it in 3 cartridges - maybe 50 rounds.

Things I would have changed:co2 cartridge is very hard to get out. I had to use a flat nose needle pliers to pull the CO2 cartridge out after using it .

what does it mean the slide back to cock mine doesn't have it I don't think
Overall size-wise, how does this compare to the Gamo P-25? I know it's a little lighter, but length, width, hight; I wish to make sure it will fit my holster. Also, will it take the same magazines as the P-25? Any info, even from Pyramyd's associates, would be most welcomed.

Things I would have changed:Mag release button should be recessed.
What others should know:Very good dependable budget priced pistol. Not a replica or blowback, but I don’t care about that. Absolutely dependable. Internals and co2 seal seam really good. Good power. Good accuracy for a smooth bore. If your careful with the mags, they’ll last a long time. I Keep it in the garage to deter pests or target shoot at 20 yards or so. Surprised how accurate it is at that distance. I’m shooting RWS super h points.
