Description
Hatsan unleashes their multi-caliber monster, the Hydra! Utilizing their new Versi-Cal technology, the Hydra couples a barreled receiver in one of three calibers to a single rifle action. This allows the user to quickly change the barreled receiver via a single thumb screw located at the back of the breech. You can purchase different caliber barreled receivers separately and keep each caliber receiver scopes and ready to go. The system is so robust, it eliminates the need to re-zero each time a barrel is interchanged.
The action is built on the tried and true Flash frame, which provides a powerful platform that small game hunters will love! The 165cc air cylinder fills to 200 BAR, and is capable of delivering up to 35 shots per fill in .177, 30 in .22 and 25 in .25 cal. The side bolt action is easy to operate, and the Quattro trigger is fully adjustable, allowing users to set it to their preference.
At under 7 lbs, the rifle handles beautifully and has a sleek, modern look that is sure to catch your eye! The Turkish Walnut stock has checkering on the forearm and grip area to keep you locked in while shooting. The cheek piece is raised on both sides, so right or left handed shooters will feel right at home. Mount the scope of your choice on the 11mm dovetail/weaver combo rail, and head into the field.
With the Hatsan Hydra, there's no need for purchasing multiple guns, just buy one gun, and the complimentary barrel kits and you can have three guns in one. This truly amazing modular system is perfect for the airgunner that likes to have options and the ability to adapt their airguns to any shooting situation!

I like the gun its nice
Things I Would Have ChangedI would change shock screw because you stand a chance of drilling to for in the action of the barrel causing the borehole for the screw to hit the action making it hard to chock the guns action the metal from the borehole for the screw I would weld a nut on the bottom of the action so it would not cause a problem in the future
What Others Should KnowA better quality control on Hassan product
Beautiful rifle. Price: bought it on sale. Hits hard and accuracy is excellent 25-35 yards so far. Velocities are at or greater than advertised.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing at this point in time
What Others Should KnowThe bolt feels gritty. I hope is smoothes out over time. I did clean and relubed the bolt.
Not a thing
Things I Would Have ChangedPut air in
What Others Should KnowCan't put air in
My son stopped shooting it, or at least the .177 barrel, he got bored; put crosshairs on smallest spinner and carefully pull trigger, and he hit it every time at 25 yards. Accuracy isn't an issue as long as you do your part You can swap uppers to shoot the caliber you want, and the sights/scope *stay sighted in (mostly) It's a great value for what it is, has a good trigger and overall pleasing design And funnily enough, the .25 is the quietest of it's calibers as it can push even heavy .177 and lighter .22 supersonic at full charge Other than the supersonic rounds, you can shoot this in the back yard without someone in the front yard noticing or disturbing the neighbors.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe bolt... The bolt... Did I mention the bolt? I understand that having a swappable top is the cause, separating the breach and bolt connected through a pin, which leads to off centered force But, like bullpups and their notorious triggers, it comes with the design, but could be much better by fixing the slack in the bolt race and loosely held bolt hand (it has 15 degrees of rotation/wiggle) Overall it functions other than annoyance
What Others Should KnowIt's a tradeoff, you save money with not buying a new gun for each caliber, a great beginner gun or all around plinker
and I'm sure it could benefit from tuning
Also tends to like heavier .177 and .22 pellets
The gun arrived and is beautiful. The accuracy is good and the trigger was perfect out of the box and not pellet picky. I didn't have luck with slugs but I only tried the 17.5 NSAs.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe bolt action is gritty and hard to cock, maybe after some usage that will cure itself. The gun needs a little more power in my opinion and a barrel band would be great. I adjusted the hammer spring and it was better. It came only shooting 20 fpe now with H&N terminators I get 32 fpe and with FX 25.4 I get 35 fpe.
What Others Should KnowYou will need high dovetail scope rings to clear the magazine or the expensive adjustable FX rings.
Fantastic wood stock - fit and finish really good !!
Things I Would Have ChangedThe design of the bolt - the lever became loose after several shots - likely a result of the cocking pressure required to cycle bolt back and forth ? [ the lever is secured to bolt with a set screw ]
What Others Should KnowThis was my first HATSON PCP [ 25 Cal. ] I have a 30 cal. and 25 cal. break barrel and they are very nice to say the least - the PCP however looks great , shoots true and super quiet but would not hold air , the fitting provided to fill the chamber does not fit the hose on my " air gun compressor " ? and the bolt action was not smooth , You really have to push it hard and then " lock it in battery or lock open for cocking / loading . Sorry for poor review ! I really wanted to like this rifle ! As a final thought - I am not sure the " multi " caliber / barrel change out option provided is better than purchasing a rifle in the caliber You want to shoot !
I am new to pcp but not new to break barrels. I liked the traditional design of the stock and polished bolt
Things I Would Have ChangedEverything! The stock was nice visually but the cheek piece is less than desirable bolt is stiff as others have stated not a huge deal though. I gave one star on accuracy even though I never got to shoot (showed up with zero pressure)because of the horrible barrel read below Im very disappointed in the used damaged rifle I received. if it wasnt for not holding air I may have kept it and just complained about it. And I dont want to hear cycle the bolt and fill it a few times and shock it with pressure blah blah blah NO if you order a supposed new product it should be just that! It should function and work as described or change your description on your site to include you must first molest the product before the product can be used.
What Others Should KnowI ordered the hydra based on positive reviews and the visual appeal. However! Let me help you make no mistake. First off it showed up and appeared to have been an opened box item, the cap that protects the polished bolt handle was floating in the box and the bolt was scratched, the fill port bluing or paint whatever, is chipped. The rifle also showed up empty with no air. Borrowed a friends pump and over night from 1800 psi to 0 (as I am still waiting on the rest of my order. If you look at the pictures the muzzle seems to be perfectly parallel to the air cylinder, let me tell you this one is not. The muzzle touches the cylinder and subsequently as the rifle is shouldered emits a tuning fork note every time and that brings me to this horrible barrel that floats left to right up and down. If the barrel is lightly touched it changes the trajectory by just mm but down range you know that mm will turn into feet off target. I am pretty disappointed with my first ever order with pyramid air.
Nothing, bolt-action snapped off on about the 15th shot from the factory.
Things I Would Have ChangedSell unbroken products that actually work. Wasted 3 months of time for a broken piece of crap.
What Others Should KnowDO NOT BUY, SAVE YOUR $$$
Wood stock, powerful, multiple caliber In one useable platform, easy to fill with hand pump.
Things I Would Have ChangedMore shots, regulator is the only thing I would add.
What Others Should KnowGreat gun to add to your collection or a good bug out rifle with multiple caliber for survival. Solid hunter.

Real nice PCP air rifle. The barrel is simple to remove. I shoot this @ 45 yards. There is no recoil. I hit bullseye with about half inch groups or less. This sure beats a break barrel and is a great value for the money.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe bolt is a stiff some times . A drop of oil helps. I still think it could use improvement .
What Others Should KnowI started to fill air chamber with a PCP hand pump. That did not work for me. I bought a PCP compressor and fill air chamber @ 200 bar and ready to shoot!!
