Description
The Macavity Agility MA2 Long PCP Air Rifle is an air gun with tactical looks and features that has adjustments and options for fine-tuning the performance. With lead pellet velocities up to 870 FPS in .22, 890 FPS in .25, and 880 FPS in .30, this air rifle can deliver the precision and performance needed for pest control, target shooting, and small-game and medium-game hunting.
This air rifle gets its accuracy from the barrel, which delivers stability combined with a lower noise level than expected for its power level because it is shrouded, tensioned, rifled, and choked. This model of the air rifle comes with a 267cc air cylinder, so it offers up to 100 shots per fill in .22, 60 shots in .25, and 24 shots in .30 for extended shooting time with less time spent filling.
The Macavity Agility MA2 Long has a hammer spring that adjusts internally in addition to a regulator that adjusts internally, a combination that enables fine tuning for different ammo and uses. The air rifle also has a two-stage adjustable trigger that has adjustments for both sear engagement and travel length, resulting in a predictable and well-defined break that leads to accuracy.
The air gun uses a Picatinny optics rail to provide accurate aiming, as well as a forend Picatinny accessory rail on the bottom for adding items such as a light or bipod that improve the stability and features of the air rifle. The soft rubber AR-15 style grip provides comfort and stability, and the adjustable AR-15 style stock offers a customized fit and options for personalization.
To get an air gun with adjustable performance for effective small-game and medium-game hunting, target shooting, and pest control, buy the Macavity Agility MA2 Long PCP Air Rifle today at Pyramyd AIR.

9 of 9 Macavity Arms Agility MA2 Long Reviews
Very accurate with suggested pellets. Nice handling Good trigger Smooth changing mechanism Good magazines easy to load.
Things I Would Have ChangedSmells funny lol Only get 16 to 18 shots before poi changes closer to regular setting. Extremely LOUD. The "supressor" is an ornament and should be replaced by something with baffles.
What Others Should KnowThis is a great value. Pay for the 24hr leak test for $20 and save the complaints. You will be without it longer than 24hrs if it needs to go back. Even with a DonnyFL Ronan this is louder than a surpessed 22lr putting out over 100fpe
Pyramyd air customer service
Things I Would Have ChangedMake it not leak. Pretty heavy and long. Make a compact version.
What Others Should KnowMine was leaking behind the regulator gauge. Luckily pyramyd airs excellent customer service allowed me to return for a full refund. Putting that money toward a different option
The looks, the feel.. definitely light to carry. The trigger isn't bad either..
Things I Would Have ChangedThe barrel band does not contact the shroud to secure it, even though movement is minimal, adding a moderator with any weight difference will change poi. 4500 psi fill pressure to acquire more shots per fill. The picatinny rail for a bi-pod is super weak, an aluminum chassis would be sweet.
What Others Should KnowOverall I really like the gun. Looks good shoots good! Did notice that after zeroing @ 50yrds. Shots @ 100 yards poi moved approximately 3 inches to the left.. not sure if repositioning the barrel band will help, but that's what I will try..
Well built, accurate. Very smooth trigger.
Things I Would Have ChangedForearm of stock could be a bit more solid
I have been saying this from the time I first set eyes on this rifle, it's all and everything you want in a rifle. It inspires confidence and that brings accuracy.
Things I Would Have ChangedAbility to shoot longer ammo, along with something done to keep the magazine from getting stuck in the gun.
What Others Should KnowEven though I have things that are not working the way I think they should, this rifle is still as good as it gets. It feels great shouldered.
I absolutely love this rifle. It does everything it needs to and better then you would expect right out of the box. Only one kinda non-issue, it seems to be only able to handle the shortest of pellets and slugs.
Things I Would Have ChangedI would most definitely change it's ability to be able to handle a bigger assortment of ammo. Possible change how the magazine fits in the breach, If a projectile sticks out front or out the back of the magazine once loaded it seems to get stuck and you can longer get the magazine back out or push the ammo the rest of the way into the breach. It might just be an isolated with something I am doing or not, but never the less it seems to be a fitment issue with magazine loading and size length of ammo.
What Others Should KnowEven with what I stated on Things I would change this rifle is so nice. It's one of those few times when you pick up a rifle and it fit and feels as if there is nothing you can't do with it, that's how I felt after I set the rifle up and raised up the rifle and first pressed the stock into my shoulder, instant satisfaction.
I got the first batch of .30 Cal production versions that Air Gun Depot sold. High precision and accuracy. Build quality of the metal parts, pistol grip, and telescoping stock are good. The "Moderator" that it ships with is just a hollow expansion tube and doesn't do much to quiet it down. The part of the stock with Picatinny for a bipod is flimsy.
Things I Would Have ChangedThis is LOUD. It is NOT Level 2 sound rating as advertised. It is much louder than my .30 cal Blitz and my buddy's .25 cal Hatsan Flash QE. The moderator that it is shipped with is hollow--there are no baffles in it so it basically just acts as an expansion chamber. After inquiring with Macavity if it was a mistake that the moderator shipped without baffles, their response was that "we cannot sell suppressors with baffles inside as we do not have an FFL license. However, there are many aftermarket suppressors compatible with our rifle that you can purchase for effective noise reduction.". AFAIK, air gun moderators do not require any special licensing to sell. After building my own moderator with 3d printed baffles, it's OK but still a bit louder than my Blitz. The Picatinny section of the stock is flimsy. If you mount a bipod to it, expect a decent amount of movement. The side lever is pretty smooth, but sometimes hangs up and needs extra force to strip the pellet from the mag.
What Others Should KnowI really like the rifle's precision and performance. It's a tack driver at 50 yards, and probably will be at farther ranges once I have a chance to stretch out. However, the false advertising with the sound level and moderator is really disappointing. If I didn't have my own means of producing a moderator it would be getting returned. The flimsy stock where the bipod mounts too is also disappointing, and I'll be looking into improvements for this.
Ease of cooking and loading of the clip light weight
Things I Would Have ChangedMake forearm stock more solid so it doesn't move as much

The whole package was great. I will definitely recommend.
Things I Would Have ChangedIt needs a single shot tray. The small front rail is a little flimsy and short add a stiffener and extend to a little. Add a pump and some ammo as a package and I would say it would be the perfect beginner gun.
What Others Should KnowThis does not have a single shot trey and is not ideal for slugs but will shoot them.happy hunting / shooting.
