I’ve been looking for a knife in a casual sense, having the configuration, of the Escape FL. I just opened the package today. Initial opinion, solid feel, slow to open, but with a touch of 3-in-1 oil to the hinge and wha-la much smoother. Razor sharp as always from SOG. I bought it during a 20% off special. And I think I’ll buy more of them again when another special comes up, to purchase for gifts. I have some dear friends of tons of years by today’s standards 40+ years. The knife is a tank but it’s because it’s all steel. So there’s e where the weight comes in. But I have a very average sized hand, and this feels so solid like it could next slip. This is going to be my new edc.
Good little knife for everyday tasks. I wish there was a partially serrated blade model.
Started using it at my workplace. Frame barely locks after I dropped it a couple times in a freezer from my standing forklift but with a light grip, it'll hold fine. Worked in my favor because deploying and closing with thick winter gloves is now significanlty easier.
This knife is great. Very sharp. Scared to use it, it too sharp. Great little knife it is. Cuts like a knife.
Escape XL was a bonus with my Pentagon order. It’s a well built knife for general use.

Great knife. If I were designing it I would put some kind of tab somewhere to assist in opening it. I will say though, it opens extremely easily though
Seems sharp, been using other knife for the most part.
Hard to open, and close. Not for one handed. The liner lock is too stiff, and I have to use two hands to open and close it. I grant you I'm 77, but I don't have any problem opening all other liner lock knives. What this uses for a liner lock is also the handle, and it's a lot thicker than a separate liner. Still think it's Good knife, and wouldn't get rid of it.

I received this as an extra for ordering a few SEAL Pup Elite knives, and it was a nice extra. Came very sharp. I like that its all metal, including the main body as it is far more durable.
