The TEKTO Limited Lifetime Knife Warranty covers ANY DEFECT IN MATERIALS OR WORKMANSHIP. If one of our knives ever breaks or fails due to material or a manufacturing defect, we’ll repair or replace the knife at no charge for labor or parts.
This warranty does not cover breakage or failure due to misuse of the knife. Using the blade for anything but cutting will void the warranty. Disassembly will void the warranty. Misusing knives for prying, pounding, throwing, alteration, improper handling, abuse, neglect or improper sharpening will void the warranty.
NOTE: Coverage ends if you sell or otherwise transfer the knife to someone else or modify your TEKTO knife.

In 2016 several of the early Tekto partners returned from an outdoor excursion in the backwoods of Maine with frustration and disappointment. Even some of the most reputable names in the knife space had failed in the harsh northeastern environment. The cold and brutal conditions left our knives chipped, dull, and unreliable.

I really like the form and function of this knife.
Works great but too small. It's like a novelty letter opener. Wish I would have bought the larger size for edc pocket knife.
I find the A5 Spry Mini to be very close in build to the A2 Badger. I know the blades between the two are different steels (D2 v. S35VN), but I am not sure why the Spry Mini is $40 more. The Spry Mini offers more blade options where the A2 Badger only offers the Tanto. I really like the Spry Mini just as I really like the Badger. I recommend both just don't get the Tanto blade with the Spry Mini and buy the Badger instead.

A knife, particularly one that is carried daily, is essentially a multi-tool with countless applications. Its primary function may be cutting—slicing through rope, opening boxes, trimming wire, or preparing food—but its utility goes far beyond these basic tasks. A good knife can serve as an impromptu letter opener, a precise fingernail cleaner, or a delicate instrument for removing slivers. Its adaptability makes it an indispensable companion, ready to tackle both routine chores and unexpected challenges throughout the day.
Over the years, I've owned numerous pocketknives. While many were good and some were great, a few fell short of expectations. Most had shortcomings that eventually led to their replacement or relegation to the back of the sock drawer. Some were too bulky for everyday carry, others too small for practical use. Blade quality varied; some held an edge well, while others quickly dulled. Usability issues, such as difficult opening mechanisms or poor durability, plagued others.
The Tekto A5 Spry Mini, however, stands out from the crowd. This is my first out-the-front knife and it checks all my boxes for an ideal everyday carry knife:
1. Perfect size for pocket carry
2. Substantial feel without excessive weight
3. Razor-sharp blade right out of the box
4. Incredibly smooth action
5. Zero blade play when deployed
6. Ergonomic aluminum scales with a grippy, non-abrasive pattern
7. Beautiful machining. It looks like it was born rather than made
If I had one minor critique, it would be that the pocket clip was initially a bit tight for my preference. However, this was easily remedied with a slight adjustment to loosen it up—a testament to the excellent steel used in its construction.
This is my first Tekto knife, but it certainly won't be my last. I've already ordered an F2 Bravo to keep in my bag, impressed by the quality of the A5 Spry Mini. While only time will tell, I can already sense that this knife will be a long-term companion. It's the kind of tool I envision using for years before eventually passing it down to my son when the time is right.
