Description
Built as an affordable tack driver, the Syrix breakbarrel is a worthy small game hunter and backyard plinker.
Featuring an all-weather synthetic body, the Syrix’s stock features molded handholds and rubber buttpad that provide the shooter with a secure grip. Set into the stock is Umarex’s Turbo Nitrogen Technology, a gas piston that delivers .177 rounds at speeds up to 1,000 FPS. Gas pistons function well year round and can even remain cocked for hours–a serious advantage to shooters in colder regions of the country.
For optics, you have options. Each Syrix is ready to shoot right out of the box with an adjustable fiber optic rear sight and fixed front sight. For a close and personal approach, mount the included 4x32 scope to the integral 11mm Dovetail.
If you want to make the leap from multi-pumps to breakbarrels, or just want a reliable plinker and hard-hitting target spinner, the Syrix is ready for it range debut.

It appears to be very accurate and has ample power.
Things I Would Have ChangedTrigger pull is excessive. It would be nice if it could be adjusted. The takes a lot of force it break the barrel and it does not close easy unless you work the barrel back and forth a few times then forcefully close. These 2 items kept my overall rating down.
I like the power, the scope is actually decent for coming with the rifle. At first I was getting shotgun like groups, but after about 400 or 500 rounds and a cleaning consistency improved. Unfortunately I didn't get this one here, but I didn't see any other online reviews for this rifle and decided to write one...
Things I Would Have ChangedThe sights are a little cheesy but workable. The rear sight is adjusted by loosening a Phillips screw and sliding the sight left or right. Not very precise for adjustment but usable. The "surpressor" is fake, but the tnt gas piston is pretty quiet.
What Others Should KnowMine likes RWS Diablo Basic wadcutters and Crossman competition wadcutters shoot well too. You have to break this rifle in. Just buy a bunch of cheap pellets and plink. I had to tighten the screws on the bottom of the forend.

So far, I like the accuracy and power.
Things I Would Have ChangedMy son and I find the rifle to be a bit heavy. If the overall weight could be lightened by at least 2 pounds that would be great.
