Things I liked: Very clear optics, functionality of reticle for long range shooting, easy adjustments, warranty response and customer service. In combination with Chairgun app and chronograph I could very consistently hit long range targets with the HW97 and JSB heavy diabolos (10.3 gr).

Things I would have changed: nothing really...I think it is a great scope in its price range but should be used on either low power springers or PCPs.

What others should know: Scope developed a problem with the AO after a couple tins of pellets but Hawke replaced it. Best customer service I've ever received (short of a refund). When I get the new one I'll put it on a lower power rifle like a FWB124 or FWB300. Perhaps a higher cost model would be better suited for the HW97 and similar guns.

Things I liked: The Airmax has very clear glass, and I like the reticule too. It's an easy scope to look through. I use it on a break barrel and that's why I got this scope because it can handle the shock of the recoil, and it does.

Things I would have changed: This is a 1/4 MOA scope, which is good, but when I go to adjust the reticule I kind have trouble feeling the clicks on the turret.

What others should know: I suppose it depends on your income, but to me $230 is a lot for a scope, especially for a pellet rifle, but to many it's an inexpensive scope and I know that no matter what gun you buy, you can spend more than that on the scope. But I think this scope is worth the money! I really like this scope.

  • Gary from USA asked:

Will medium height scope rings have clearance problems for the 50mm optics? Or will I have to go High rings?

    • Tyler from USA:

      Go with high rings

  • nathaniel from USA asked:

Does this scope come with rings??

    • Tyler from USA:

      No

  • r michael from USA asked:

What is ment by "map 6 and software"?

    • Tyler from USA:

That referenced an old reticle that this scope was available with. It now comes with the AMX reticle which you can use alongside their Chairgun Pro software to help determine your holdover points on the reticle
