Things I liked: Price, quality of construction, value, and functionality. I purchased the UTG Red/Green Dot scope for use on my 2300KT Co2 pistol (a custom shop version of the Crosman 2240). It works great, even on the small steel breech (with the right adapter). It took several shots to zero in, but holds zero well. The dots are crisp and clear.

Things I would have changed: Nothing

What others should know: You need to take care not to mount the dot sight backwards. It's fairly straightforward, but for those who might not be used to a red dot, the "UTG" symbol should be on the left side and the elevation turret will be to the rear. If your dot is fuzzy or just a blob, you probably mounted it backwards.

  • Randy from USA asked:

How far should you mount from eye?

    • Darren from USA asked:

I have this sight on an Umarex Beretta M92A1. It will not hold zero. Any ideas? Edit: Changed the battery and turned the windage and elevation turrets full in and out. Laser sighted the optic. Hit it with my hand and lost zero. Zeroed again. Hitting it quite hard with my hand, more than a little bit, the zero holds. Will shoot it in the morning. Fingers crossed.

      • Darren from USA:

Holding zero! If she wanders, spank 'er a few times!

    • Glenn from USA asked:

I have a Crosman Vantage Nitro rifle. Would front and rear sight just stay mounted on rifle with this added to rifle or should/would one remove the rear sight? Is this used independent of the sights? Looking for accuracy and adjustment ability but dont want to buy/mount a scope.

      • Tyler from USA:

This is used by itself, you do not need any additional sights or accessories to use a red dot. A red dot works the same was a scope does though, just with a single point of aim instead of a reticle.
