If good things come in small packages, then the R7 is a really good thing! Compact in size but not in performance, the Beeman R7 is often called the "little R1." It's that good. Other than size, there are very few differences between the R1 powerhouse and the R7. Through the double-jointed cocking lever, the R7 delivers a reduced cocking effort (almost half the R1). That makes this the perfect gun for smaller shooters, women or anyone who wants an easy-cocking spring-piston gun.
The R7 is 5" shorter than the R1 and over 2.5 lbs. lighter. Don't worry about marring the finish, because the satin finish on the stained beech stock resists minor scratches. Sight up your target with the open sights, or mount a scope 11mm dovetail grooves in the receiver. The checkered pistol grip gives you a solid hold, while the rubber buttpad adds even more control. Like the R1, this gun has the famous Rekord trigger, giving you a predictable, crisp, adjustable let-off. The R7 is a German-made engineering marvel that will deliver decades of shooting pleasure. With a 13.75" length of pull, this is a comfortable shooter for most adults and younger shooters alike.
Don't forget to pick up a variety of recommended pellets, which are listed in the AMMO link. Select appropriate accessories, including scopes and targets, by clicking on the ACCESSORIES link.

Gorgeous rifle and very well built. I have shot all kinds of pellets and it loves the JSB 8.44. With these at 25 yards i always shoot under 1/2 inch and lots of times .33 and occasionally .25 in. The only time i go outside of these is when I try a new pellet or a screw on the gun comes loose and even as light as the recoil is on this gun it still vibrates screws loose. The trigger guard almost fell off the other day. It is sitting in the gun safe while the Loktite drys.
Things I would have changed:Sell the gun with no iron sights, barrel shroud, Picatinni rails and gas piston. Now that would be my ideal guns. I did notice a change in pellet placement the other day as the weather got colder (around 29 degrees.
What others should know:This gun is sweet to shoot and great for back yard plinking and target practice. If shooting over 25 yards you will have to adjust for pellet drop at least I do with my JSB 8.44 Exact pellets. It isn't the perfect air rifle that honor goes to my Sig ASP20 in .177. Love that gun. Just wish Sig made one similar to this R7.

Lighter weight, very accurate after sight-in. Nice wood stock and all metal parts. .20 is nice to have. Great gun. Get one you won't be disappointed.
Things I would have changed:Nothing.

Would non-lead pellets (approx 5gr) be too light to shoot in a R7 without damaging the rifle?
Where is Beeman R7 & R9 manufactured? Do they use China Parts? Are they made in China & assembled in USA?...I DON'T Want anything to do with China...Thank You!
The R series are from Germany, where they source the parts i do not know.
Is it possible to load a r7 like this https://youtu.be/TNUEyLyTQGo?t=31 ?
You can load almost every break barrel gun like the shooter did in the video.

Much easier to cock than the R9. Can still easily dispatch red, gray and fox squirrels as well as rabbits out to 50 ft with a well placed headshot. Lead free H&N barracudas or anything above 6 grains are perfect for this role.
Things I would have changed:Everything about this spring airgun is great.
What others should know:If you want a stronger air rifle for hunting anything beyond squirrels and at ranges out to 100 ft, I'd recommend the .22 R9 instead.
