If good things come in small packages, then the R7 is a really good thing! Compact in size but not in performance, the Beeman R7 is often called the "little R1." It's that good. Other than size, there are very few differences between the R1 powerhouse and the R7. Through the double-jointed cocking lever, the R7 delivers a reduced cocking effort (almost half the R1). That makes this the perfect gun for smaller shooters, women or anyone who wants an easy-cocking spring-piston gun.

The R7 is 5" shorter than the R1 and over 2.5 lbs. lighter. Don't worry about marring the finish, because the satin finish on the stained beech stock resists minor scratches. Sight up your target with the open sights, or mount a scope 11mm dovetail grooves in the receiver. The checkered pistol grip gives you a solid hold, while the rubber buttpad adds even more control. Like the R1, this gun has the famous Rekord trigger, giving you a predictable, crisp, adjustable let-off. The R7 is a German-made engineering marvel that will deliver decades of shooting pleasure.

Don't forget to pick up a variety of recommended pellets, which are listed in the AMMO link. Select appropriate accessories, including scopes and targets, by clicking on the ACCESSORIES link.

Things I liked: I like the weight and size of the gun, the finish is high quality

Things I would have changed: The r7 I received was defective , the break area was rusted and almost impossible to cock .... I contacted customer service and they shipped it back for repair .

Things I liked: In one of the many reviews I read about this gun before I purchased it, the writer stated that this is a rifleman's rifle. No truer words have been written. This rifle performs as advertised. Accuracy is spot on, if you miss with this it's your fault. I have owned the gun for a few months and have about 1500 pellets through it (17 cal). Somewhere around the 800-900 pellet range the gun was noticeably easier to cock and smoother yet to shoot, again just as everyone says. The stock open sights that come with the rifle are excellent. I chose to put the Williams peep sight on, and there are no regrets there. The gun was purchased with the intent to get my daughters shooting. They all love it and we have spent many evenings shooting together. That fact alone made the purchase price well worth it. The youngest is 11 and has no trouble in cocking the rifle. Some reviews have said it is a bit under powered. Personally I disagree, in my opinion the power level is perfect.

Things I would have changed: Nothing.

What others should know: The build quality on this gun certainly lives up to the reputation, as does the trigger. The accuracy is borderline ridiculous, if there is a con to this rifle it is that you will constantly need to move the target back for any kind of challenge. It is no problem to pick off 1/2" diameter paintballs at 15 yards until I am bored of doing it. My kids generally shoot at a knock down squirrel target at 30 yards and the squirrel spends most of its time laying down. If you think about what you spend on soda from a vending machine in a year, or what you have spent on your cell phone since Christmas, this gun is a screaming bargain. It's a bit like trying to explain what an orange tastes like trying to explain the quality of this rifle. With every shot cycle and cocking stroke you can feel and hear the quality. They do it right when building these things and don't cut corners, and for that I say thank you.

  • Randal from USA asked:

Do the current R7s have an issue with the cocking arm galling?

    • Tyler from USA:

I have seen it before but very rarely.

  • joe from USA asked:

If I wanted to put a gas ram in it for more power. What all would I have to purchase?

    • Paul from USA:

If you need more power why not get a rifle that has more power all ready like a Weihrauch 50 it's only about $70.00 more. Then your all set to go. Then you don't have to stress the HW30.

  • Alexandre from USA asked:

It comes with rings/mounts? Which model if yes?

    • Paul from USA:

My mistake there are rings included. Look under description.

    • Val from USA:

It comes with Mantis rings Mantis 1" Rings, Medium, 3/8"...

    • Paul from USA:

      NO.
