Awesome power is what you need to hunt successfully, and the Gamo Big Cat 1250 has it!
From the all-weather synthetic stock to the bull barrel, these rifles are bound to please any shooter who aims to take game. For more precise shooting and to get the most accuracy from the gun, our Big Cat comes with an upgraded 3-9x40 scope and mount.
The Monte Carlo buttstock has a raised cheekpiece on each side, making this gun ideal for right- or left-handed shooters. It also has the Shock Wave Absorber (SWA) to reduce felt recoil. Shoot either lead pellets or PBA ammo to attain your hunting goals. Of course, you don't have to hunt with the Big Cat. These are fun plinkers and will give you hours of shooting pleasure.
Your Gamo Big Cat may come with a 1-piece mount or a 2-piece mount. Gamo uses them interchangeably. Both types will securely hold your scope in place.
Comes with upgraded 3-9x40 scope.

Things I liked: Accuracy, Weight, Length, Easy to shoot
Things I would have changed: Trigger (as most air rifles) Iron Sites
What others should know: This really is a good shooter. I did not purchase it from Pyramyd Air, because I found a clearance sale somewhere else. This .177 is the most accurate Rifle I have shot thus far. I was shooting dime size groups at 25 yards. No joke. I own a Umarex Octane, a Gamo Whisper Fusion Elite, a Walther Terrus, and a cheaper Crosman Air rifle. This has the accuracy of the Walther Terrus. Once you get use to the trigger pull (which really isn't that bad for such a cheap rifle) you will be driving nails with this gun. I got mine is .177 and I am currently shooting H&N Baracuda Match 4.50 head size, 10 grain pellets. This gun would literally almost be perfect, with an upgraded trigger. Gamo have always been great air rifles in my experience.
Things I liked: Gun seem to be fine.
Things I would have changed: Scope is not good! Can't get gun to group tight. Shoots all over the place.
Things I liked: I like the consistency of the shot placement. My shots are always in a nice tight Group. I have shot at four ground hogs and three of them are no longer with us.

What is the energy of the .22 version of this?
Around 20 FPE with most pellets
I have a Gamo Big Cat 1200 that I am trying to find the most accurate pellet for. I have put a quality scope and one piece base on it. Now I am using Cabelas 10.5 gr ultra magnum pellets but am not happy with the accuracy, especially on the first shot when it counts while hunting with it.
I have three Gamos in .177 and they all like and are very accurate with the Crosman Premiers 10.5 grain ultra magnum.
Can you get any extra mounts for this gun like for iron sight lasers or flashlights
There are mounts available lasers and flashlights but doubtful if iron sights could be made to fit?
