The specs show that the Pro-Sport has a 9.5" Lothar Walther barrel. We've had a number of customers email us that this is a mistake. It is not. The barrel really is only 9.5" long. The gun has a shroud over the barrel, and the shroud is longer than the barrel. It gives the illusion that the barrel is longer than 9.5 inches. It isn't! The barrel is the rifled portion.Sold & shipped by PyramydAir

It's beautiful.
Things I would have changed:The fit and finish on my rifle is not the same as my TX200 was. This rifle was a rush build and will either require I return to Pyramyd (likely with an ETA of replacement of forever due to stock) or fix the issues myself by buying a new stock and disassembling the rifle. The cocking action is very stiff when returning the cocking arm to the stock, nothing like the review videos I've seen. Hopefully this will loosen up over time, but between the fact that the cocking arm rubs the stock when returning the to the action and the stiffness. The screw taps are roughly done and not filed to remove shavings for the screws that hold the stock to the action, and I think the mounting arm where the stock attaches to the action is either slightly crooked or the stock was improperly made...either way I expect better for an $800 rifle. My barrel was very dirty, I'm wondering if mine was used and put back in a box for resale as new instead of refurb, as it took about 8 patches with Ballistol to clean.
What others should know:Air Arms quality is slipping. Combine that with a recent price hike of $100 and you have a recipe for unhappy customers.

Looked good, felt like a regular rifle, excellent trigger. Only got one shot with it before it failed.
What others should know:Cocker filed to return to locked position after first shot. Sending it back for warranty work since there are no more in stock. More later.

Is there a gas piston cylinder that will easily replace the spring piston in this rifle or the TX200?
There is no gas piston available for either the Prosport or the TX200 MKIII.
The specifications say 3lbs for a trigger pull. Does it go lighter than that?
Absolutely. I've adjusted them down to the 1 lbs range safely
I would like some feedback about having this gun tuned with either the... VORTEX PG2 SHO or the VORTEX PG2. It looks to me like the VORTEX PG2 is the most popular. Also... does the price include having Pyramyd Air install it? I plan to buy the HC. I also want to buy the bug buster scope and want PA to do the 20 for $20 before shipping it. I want the box for collector purpose so after the scope is zeroed they can remove it for shipping. To TUNE or not to TUNE... THAT is the question. Any and all advice will be welcomed.
The price for the kit is $79.99. The installation price is another $79.99. Personally, I like to shoot a gun before a tune so I can better measure the improvements and changes. If you never shoot it before it gets a tune kit, you'll never know. Just my opinion though.

This is a beautiful rifle and to be honest, this was the primary reason for buying it. The quality of manufacture is excellent and the general fit and finish is just stunning. The blueing is the richest I've seen on any air rifle / powder burner. The checkering on the walnut stock is just perfect and feels great in the hand. The trigger is fully adjustable should you need to, but mine arrived perfect for my taste, very distinct second stage with a crisp break at a little over 1lb pull. I'm sure the gun will be accurate, but as yet I've only put 30 or so pellets down range so its too early to say. Its not the most powerful springer on the market, but I knew that when I bought it and I'm fine with that.
Things I would have changed:I would have loved to have it arrive with some iron sights and as far as I can tell fitting after market ones would be difficult. For the money, it would have been nice to have it arrive in a hard case like FX do.
What others should know:The cocking mechanism is challenging and takes some getting used to. It takes some time to figure out the best way to hold the thing while cocking and loading and the sheer effort required to cock it was surprising. This I assume will get a little easier over time. Be aware that the action can feel like it has completed its cycle when in actual fact it hasn't. Your clue is the cocking arm will not fold back flush and you will not be able to release the safety. Simply pull down the arm and crank on it some more until you hear it engage and you are good to go.
