A replica of the versatile Beretta APX 9mm/.40, this CO2 powered version allows for proficiency and tactical training at a fraction of the cost. Officially licensed by Beretta, the APX Air Pistol has nearly identical weight and size and gives the user a real-world feel. I really like APX blowback. Its fun to shoot and a very good value. It fits my hand very well and being a lefty its perfect for me. In reading several of the other reviews. I agree about a bit heaver spring for the blowback. however I do think that using a weak spring the APX uses less Co2 for the blowback action. A plus I would think, more shots per cylinder of Co2. Overall not a bad value as a combo package. I certinly bought it as I was looking to purchase a combo package and Pyramyd has the right combo package at the right time. If you are looking for an inexpensive combo you can't go wrong with this one
Things I would have changed:Yes, fix the sloppy slide!. The slide did not have much side to side wiggle at first but after about three mags shot thru it the slide had much more side to side wiggle to it. I also noticed that the guide pin in front of the slide has side to side movement if. It has not gotten any worse since then. however I would think a bit more care would have been taken in the design of this
What others should know:I thought I'd try some Gammo .177 lead pellets with the APX, same as the BB's was my thinking............ Do Not try this....... Not Recommended. I think 1 fired. The rest did not fire and when I pulled the mag out. The others fell out on the floor (loaded 6 lead balls). I was lucky in the fact that no damage was done to the APX and it still continues to work without issue using to correct BB's

I like almost everything about my new APX. The build quality is excellent, the sights are easy for my old eyes to see, the magazine is very easy to load and though the double action trigger is long it’s smooth and breaks clean. My gun is very accurate and it has nice point ability. At 30 feet my groups are 1” with many shots in one hole. And it’s powerful and loud. I love it.
Things I would have changed:All I can think of would be a straight trigger as that would make it easier for my reach.
What others should know:The gun really surprised me. I’ve owned and shot many bb pistols (and pellet pistols) but this is one of the the best shooting and handling air pistol I’ve owned and ranks second with me only because my Dan Wesson 715 4” pellet pistol is still king of my air gun stable. For the money this gun will not disappoint you at all, it performs and feels better than several for which I’ve paid well over $100. Get the combo pack while Pyramydair still has it because I have a feeling they won’t last long in stock. Umarex did a marvelous job on this gun as is their standard. My thanks to Umarex and Pyramydair who are always there when I need them. Great job folks on a sure winner!
