Without a doubt, the Master Hunter is one of the finest hunting knives we have ever produced. Available with Japanese VG-10 San Mai III steel, or with American CPM 3-V High Carbon Steel blades, it features a broad blade that's been flat ground to achieve the ideal blade cross-section and edge geometry for hunting application. Carefully honed to razor sharpness, its edge cuts effortlessly while its dropped point simplifies the chore of field dressing and skinning.The spine of the blade is a full 3/16" thick to allow for the necessary strength and stiffness to field dress and skin the biggest animals. The grip is specially designed to promote long use without fatigue. Made of the shock absorbent, highly tactile Kray-Ex, it will offer a secure purchase no matter how wet or bloody your hands get. For safety, the Master Hunter comes in a thick Conceal-Ex sheath that will accommodate just about any size belt and allow you to carry it all day without fatigue.

I purchased my stainless Master Hunter about 20 years ago. It has been my constant companion through many hunting seasons and fishing trips. Living here in Massachusetts, I have carried and used it in harsh winter weather as well as salt water. Still razor-sharp and ready for the next task. The Master Hunter, in my opinion, is Lynn C. Thompson's masterpiece!
I bought this knife for main purpose of hunting, I have and own many very high end knives from other companies and are wonderful pieces, but this cold steel has won my interest as one of my favorite knives I own . Very well built holds an edge very well and is absolutely a dream to use , I use it for everything now from hunting to camping and outback Excursions to my over landing adventures I cannot see myself without this piece the Handel is super gripping in all conditions whether field dressing or bush craft you will not be disappointed best knife I have ever owned hands down!!!!
Video by Thompson was not a mere brag. The steel is amazing, tough and holds an edge. No matter how many other knives I love and use, this is The One that goes in the pack, float plane, or on my belt in the Rockies to the desert to Alaska. Not needed in Africa and too perfect for the ranch or my boys.

Very good shape ad f...ckig sharp edge for hunting skinning gutting or just make a feather stick or prepare a meal... Grip is perfect even if it's wet! Only one problem is the sheath is scratching the blade every single time you put the knife in or pull out.... That is sucks but the knife is a genius.
