Crosman Fortify CO2 BB Revolver

Inexpensive, fun little cowboy pistol. Easy to load a bunch of bb’s and plink away. Pretty accurate, too! I have a few of the other, more life like, cowboy pistols that you load bbs in the cartridges, which are the weight of actual firearms. I use those for practicing Cowboy Action shooting. These are much lighter weight, but are lots of fun to plink with.

The spot where the loading gate is located on regular revolvers is the safety, which has to be slid out to make it operable. It gives an ugly appearance as you look down the sights. If it slid forward, or backward, it would give a better profile from the shooters perspective. Truthfully, being a single action, there was zero reason for a safety on this firearm. They could have put a button type safety across the hammer the safety is a legal requirement.

Even with the ugly safety placement issue, it’s a great plinker, and fun to shoot, especially for the price. It’s lighter than you’d think it would be, but very comfortable to shoot. I recommend it.

The price. It shoots straight for a BB gun made from polymer. Good feel in the hand, it has some heft but lite. Great can killer. It fans well.

The weight. I need to figure a way to add some heft to it. Fix the safety so it sits in the right position. As it is with the loading gate in the load position to shoot. And in the closed for safe. Opposite of the firearm, Maybe to distinguish it from it, but a simple slide on the bottom of the frame that interrupted the trigger might of been easier. Just saying.

Fun to shoot as a kid or old kid (adult). Buy lots of CO2, BB's, Pellgun oil. You'll need em. Buy 2. Then a dual holster setup.

Very inaccurate. About 6" low and 3" left at 10'. Fix this.

I like to do instinctive shooting with cowboy style guns. The light weight of this Colt SAA look alike was something to get used to. After a few CO2 cartridges and test shooting at various targets, I think this is a great pistol for beginners to train with. Hammer pull and trigger pull became unnoticeable after I got used to it, and it is not really an issue to complain about, I have real guns that are much worse.

The bb loading finger tab is too big and the pistol will not fit into a cowboy holster. I had to file it down halfway so the pistol would holster and draw without problems. If you do file the tab down on your pistol, make sure to tape the barrel so no debris gets into the bb chamber.

My experience was short lived before a piece on the loading rod broke. I got busy at work and missed the 30 day return window. Tried to repair it but now it won't cock. I'd pass on this one

High shot count. More than enough for 4 loadings on a 44 degree day. Easy to reload, doesn't take shells to create extra cost.

Almost everything. The high shot count is in exchange for low power. I'd really prefer a lower shot count in exchange for a bit more punch. You can easily see every BB going downrange. It's almost entirely plastic. At this price point, they could easily have a much less plasticy feel to it. Remove the safety. It's a single action. Resting the hammer IS the safety. It doesn't need another, and the way they did it, that's just plain dumb. The trigger on this thing is abysmal. It's single action, but it has what would be considered a rather stiff double action trigger. With the stiff trigger and lack of weight, accuracy is very poor one handed. And this style of gun is made to shoot one handed. All things considered, Crosman really needs to cut the price in half to make this lemon worthwhile.

I suggest you pass on this one. If you want that cowboy gun look and feel, there's plenty of other options, and they don't feel like junky toys. Save your money and get something much better. If you aren't looking for a cowboy gun, then you're looking in the wrong place to begin with.

A great plinker. With an 18 shot capacity (and a quick reload for 18 more) this gun is a great plinker. Just ask our leftover Halloween pumpkins.

Lighten the trigger pull. This gun would be a lot more accurate with a lighter trigger pull.

Not the best retro copy of the old six shooters, but at half the price and that 18 shot capacity - who could complain?

it,s pretty cool. looks good and once i got used to it i could put the bbs close to where i was shooting.

i know it,s just a plastic plinker-- but a rotating cylinder would have made it less toyish. but it,s still ok.

also like to add a -- WOW--about the shipping. it only took about 5 days (it was the weekend to.) i live in canada and when i order a gun over here from a canadian site i don,t even usually get it that fast. great job guys i,ll probably be ordering something again soon. thanks a lot .pete.

Good looking, resembles a 1873 Colt SAA. Single Action - best for aiming and accuracy. Shot a 2-inch group out of the box with a couple flyers. Accuracy got better after 200 shots. Good feel in the hand. The light weight is not a problem for me. Easy to load and reload quickly. Easy to load CO2 inside right grip. Painted Warnings are subdued and out of plain sight. The box is sturdy and stylish. Nice to be able to shoot up to 18 BBs before reloading. This is a fun gun to shoot!

Fix manual because it says to load "13 6mm plastic BBs", which is impossible and wrong! 6mm is airsoft. It should read to load steel BBs. Make the trigger pull lighter.

Load small BBs, NOT the larger Daisy Match Grade Avanti Precision Ground Shot. One of those jammed in my pistol. I called Crosman (as it says to do in manual) and the Customer service rep worked with me to attempt to dislodge the stuck BB to no avail. Sent pistol in to Crosman and they sent me a new one within a week! Great customer service!!! Now I use the smaller Hornaday Black Diamond BBs and have experienced no jamming after 200 shots.
