If the stock on your Air Venturi Springfield Armory M1 carbine has been damaged, never fear. We've got you covered. These wood stocks fit both the .177-cal BB-gun version and the 6mm airsoft BB version of this popular firearm replica. These also make a nice alternative for use out in the elements, if you own the genuine wood-stocked version and want to keep it looking factory-new.

This wood stock totally transformed the rifle into a truly nice gun. Darn near indistinguishable from a powder burner. The stock looks great, but the best part is how the rifle feels. It feels real now. Thanks to Springfield Armory and Pyramid Air for taking this gun seriously and offering this hardwood stock.
Things I would have changed:A tax expensive, definitely worth it
What others should know:Needed a wee bit of widening of the inletting at the rear action lug.

Does anyone know if this is the same soft wood, inferior finish stock that looks like it's almost not wood that comes on the Springfield wood stock model or is this a better hard wood with more grain and better finish produced by another source? Sort of like a real M1 stock.
Has anyone ever attempted to use this stock to replace the plastic one on the old Crosman model? They always broke in the middle and people that have "new old stock" of these want way too much and if you use the gun they'll only break again. Guys that have these in wood stock still have them and never heard of one that broke from shooting them.

Makes this gun a pleasure to handle. Looks immensely better then the plastic stock.
Things I would have changed:Discontinue the plastic stock model
What others should know:The stock needed some minor inleting. Enlarge the mortise slightly for the rear action lug, relieve the magazine receiver radius directly in front of the action. The mortise was holding the action too high where the stock engages the action at the magazine radius cut out area. The trigger/magazine mortise was a couple mm too small in length. The wood needed removal at the front radius area of the stock. The action was leveraged on this radius bending the barrel/action when the screws where all tightened. This caused the barrel/action to deflect binding the bolt. It works great after removing a couple mm of wood to give the action more room.
