Description
SIG Sauer breaks into the breakbarrel airgun market with the US made ASP20 Break Barrel Rifle, a suppressed single-shot, gas piston rifle ideal for backyard target shooting and taking down small game.
Available in .177 and .22 the ASP20 uses a gas piston powerplant that is specially calibrated to deliver its pellets downrange at optimal speeds for accuracy and energy. The added benefit of this powerplant is the ability to shoot in colder weather without sacrificing power as you would with a spring-piston. Each uses a Glidelite Cocking Mechanism to ensure that your cocking effort is a smooth and manageable 33 lbs. In the .177 caliber, the ASP20 slings pellets at 1021 fps, and at 841 fps in .22 to dump 20 to 23 FPE into your targets. This design is based on the notion that subsonic pellets will fire more accurately, a maxim that proves true time and time again among premium airguns. Built for quiet backyard shooting, those powerful shots are all moderated by an integrated suppressor.
Moving to the action, the ASP20 features an adjustable 2-stage Matchlite® Trigger, designed for smooth and consistent trigger pulls to aid in accurate shot placement. A proprietary drill-pinned Breach Wedge Lock System also aids in improved accuracy by perfectly lining up the action with the barrel. A long Weaver/Picatinny rail awaits your choice of optics, and all of these features are set into an ergonomic black synthetic stock with checkering on the grip and forend.
All of these options culminate in a superior gas-piston breakbarrel air rifle that lives up to SIG’s legacy of crafting airguns with innovative technology and quality construction that deliver hours of shooting fun.

10 of 33 SIG Sauer ASP20 Gas-Piston Breakbarrel Air Rifle, Synthetic Reviews
The accurracy! This is my second Asp20, and both of them are equally accurate. 25yd. groups of 1/4 to 5/16", and 50yd groups of 3/4" and often less. This is with JSB .177 10.64gr. heavies in both guns. Just amazing! Very smooth shooting during recoil as well, no vibrations evident. Triggers are quite acceptable for a field gun as well, quite nice actually.
Things I Would Have ChangedI've shot the first gun for two-ish years now and I'm very well satisfied with the gun overall.
What Others Should KnowI was asked to clean the Rockchucks out of a friends pasture. None of my shots were over 25yds. All of them were head shots and all of them were clean instant kills. The pellet, JSB heavies .177, all passed thru without trouble. I also use this gun for our local Field Target matches with great success.
Shoots great with JSB 18g Nice balance
Things I Would Have ChangedNeeds to come with a sling.Gets heavy after while
What Others Should KnowGreat rifle for the price
The ASP20 is a very accurate breakbarrel. I am new to the breakbarrel world, so I was concerned that I would be unable to develop a consistent hold. But after just 2 practice sessions, I started hitting the target with great consistency. Man is this rifle fun to shoot.
Things I Would Have ChangedI wish Sig Sauer made a .25 caliber.
What Others Should KnowI mounted a SeeAll Open Sight because I do back yard shooting and I didn't want to mount a scope (at least not yet). I am very pleased with the both the ASP20 and the SeeAll sight.
This rifle is very powerful and accurate. It blasts right through 1/2 plywood that i paced off at 30 feet.I purchased this rifle without a scope and later fitted it with a Sig whiskey 3 scope. Im impressed with the accuracy of this rifle .The groups at 30 feet are dime sized.I will leave feedback after i try it at longer distances at the range.Another reason i purchased this rifle that it is made here in the united states. Im going to hunt squirrels with this gun in the fall.
Things I Would Have ChangedI wouldnt change a thing. This is a high quality rifle
What Others Should KnowSome may not like the weight it is a bit on the heavy side. Im using this rifle to hunt small game.I bought the 22 cal.
Quality of build and accuracy. I have recently purchased 4 different springer (coil and gas) air rifles, the SIG ASP20 is the most accurate out of the box.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe stock is somewhat bulky.
What Others Should KnowThe ease of closing the barrel upon cocking is more pleasurable.
Accuracy. Tight groups. Handsome rifle. Enough power .22 for efficient kills on squirrels. Balanced nice. Barrel and picatinney rail very true. Minor scope adjustments to dial it in. Trigger is awesome. 1st stage travel span was set a minimum out of the box. Easy break down to charge cylinder. Locks up solid. Awesome technology and design at the lock up. Gun is almost maintenance free. White lithium grease at the pivot points.
Things I Would Have ChangedMake it lighter but then you would have to sacrifice something.
Well made
Things I Would Have ChangedMake gun lighter
What Others Should KnowNot yet
Very accurate. Trigger is smooth, very little creep if any. Solid breech to barrel lock up. Quiet. Easy to break and charge piston. Balanced very well. Packaged nicely in a corrugated box with foam thats reusable. Pyramid puts it in an outer shipper for protection.
Things I Would Have ChangedIts heavy.
easy to cock with plenty of power, trigger can be adjusted lower than you can want it.. accuracy is great with almost any pellet you put in it
Things I Would Have Changedits a little bit heavy with no eyelets to put a sling on it
What Others Should Knowi bought the .177 based off of i had to wait to get a .22... Over all i am very pleased with the .177.. it is accurate with almost any pellet you put in it..

Accurracy! 5 shot 1/4" to 3/8" groups at 25 yds. with JSB heavies. The trigger is excellent for a magnum class piston air rifle. The synthetic stock is set up for quick detachable sling swivels. A really nice touch.
Things I Would Have ChangedI would like to have the butt stock with a straight belly rather than the cut out. It would be easier to use on bench rest bags. The advantage to the cut out is weight reduction and since this is ment to be a walk around gun the lower weight is a good thing.
What Others Should KnowI tested several different pellets from JSB and H&N, both heavies and midweights. They all shot well and they all had a 33yd. trajectory curve that was so close that they can used interchangeably in the field. Zeros are at 25 and 33 yards.
This is my second Asp20 rifle and they both shoot equally well.
