I've had my Sogfari for about 7 years cut trees split fire wood choped 2 x4s you know abused it. I used it for work and camping, it only had one slight deflection from hitting a 200 year old oak tree root system. Unfortunately my rubber handle finally broke. I replaced it with a brand name competitor last night. That blade only lasted a couple hours of splitting wood. Glinting and deflections all over. Long story short I need to order another one. Best inexpensive working knife I have found.

Well at age 78 I finally wore out my first SOG machete so I replaced it with another Tango machete, This machete is a good size that is easy to use and even easier to store. Large machetes can be awkward to use so I prefer a tool that is solid, easy to use but does every thing I require.

Great blade for camping/survival(?)/GHB. The sheath is good but the blade hangs up on it and it isn't great for putting anywhere but a belt (pack attachment would be appreciated). I would (probably will?) buy again. My irks are minor at best.

The saw edge is good and stout but hangs up a lot. Otherwise it is nice to have handy in your vehicle.
I've had this thing since ~2012, and I've put it work. I've batonned 7"-diameter dead, dry wood about 5-foot long straight down the middle with this thing, cleared brush, processed countless (smaller) firewood, made stakes, and on and on. I almost always take this thing out with me. It's really a great little utility tool. It's broad and choppy almost like an axe (though not super rigid). But what (little) it lacks in weight, it makes up for in ease of swing and use because it's short; and has the little hook at the butt, so you can really whip it if you have to. Easy to sharpen. Hard to beat the quality-to-price ratio on this. I have abused this thing and chipped it, and was able to resharpen and straighten it out. Just last year the handle started to shake loose from the metal right up near the blade (noticeable but still very usable), but it has since been wrapped with leather cord thru the two holes near the blade. Highly recommened.
