The Umarex NXG Pump Shot BB Shotgun is a light and simple pump-action CO2 airgun designed to look like a classic shotgun. It provides velocities that reach up to 490 FPS and is ideal for novice shooters who are looking to familiarize themselves with airgun safety and those in search of plinking fun.
This airgun is powered by a single 12-gram CO2 cartridge and features a 10-round drop free rotary box magazine that enables users to get 10 shots in a row before having to reload. Although it utilizes familiar shotgun styling, it is a single-shot airgun that shoots one .177 caliber steel BB at a time when a shooter cycles the pump action and then pulls the trigger.
The synthetic stock means the airgun is lightweight and convenient even for younger shooters who may have a difficult time holding and operating a full-size airgun, and the stock is a pleasant black with a flat dark earth receiver and magazine.

It's inexpensive and fun. I'm using this to shoot insects inside and around my house with salt. It works well for that. It's not too loud for indoor shooting.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe pump action is pretty stiff and getting the magazine holder back into the gun is sometimes tricky. I'd love it if it could take larger CO2 cartridges. A shot counter would be amazing, but it's a $50 BB gun, so that's not realistically feasible.
What Others Should KnowThis thing lays waste to pantry moths around my house. Getting the magazines filled is pretty easy with the 3d printed adapter I designed. The rifle does tend to get jammed when the CO2 runs low and there's no good way to know that's going to happen.
Nice weight and length for the youth shooter. BB feeding and CO2 operation have been flawless. Child can easily pump this rifle since no heavy discharge spring need be cocked. Price is appropriate for its quality.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe plastic molded rear sight is not adjustable. It should be replaced with a rudimentary adjustable sight, such as found on entry level Daisy rifles and similar brands. Young shooters cannot enjoy a rifle that will not shoot to point of aim. Mine shoots crazy low. I was able to Dremel off the factory rear sight and attach an old Crosman notch blade, providing some measure of accuracy.
What Others Should KnowUltra cheap, plastic feel. Very much like a Nerf rifle firing BBs.

This is a fun BB gun, i liked it so much I bought two for what the price is, it has a little more power than I was expecting that was a plus.

What Others Should KnowIf you feel and don’t like all plastic airguns then this might not work for your favor, but if you like too plink for the fun and don’t care then this is a keeper IMOP.
