For an air rifle that is a beauty to both look at and shoot, choose the Galahad PCP by Air Arms. The Galahad powerplant and magazine system is based on the popular Air Arms S410/S510 models and makes for a powerful rifle that's full of strength, comfort and shooting accuracy.
Air Arms loaded the Galahad with versatility and user friendly upgrades. With its state-of-the-art regulator, the Galahad offers exceptional shot string consistency in addition to more shots per fill versus a non-regulated PCP airgun. And because every gun offers multiple power settings, you customize the gun to your personal shooting preference based on the target you're shooting at. For shooting at longer ranges, the integrated bubble level helps resolve cant issues, resulting in better accuracy.
The unique, forward mounted cocking lever is located at the center of the action, making it easy to cock, and the location is well-balanced to help you stay on target by reducing body movement. With the center of gravity behind the pistol grip, short action remains extremely stable. The cocking lever offers the option of having it on either the right or left-hand side of the action making it fully ambidextrous. And, not only does the forward motion cocking design result in enhanced stealth because you don't have to pull away from the rifle to cock it, but it also delivers improved shot placement.
Available in .22 caliber the carbine version of the Galahad features a compact, ergonomic soft-touch stock with a finely detailed pistol grip and forearm. The all-weather stock is ambidextrous and has a multi-position adjustable buttpad that pivots left or right, and moves up and down. To increase the length of pull, spacers can be fitted between the pad and stock and there's even a short rail under the forend to mount accessories.
The Galahad stands out from traditional, bulky bullpups with its attractive curves and lines. This PCP airgun features a two-stage adjustable trigger, built-in pressure gauge, and a soft-touch cheekpiece.
Manufactured in the United Kingdom with Air Arms state-of-the-art engineering and production technology, the new Galahad PCP air rifle is one of the quietest bullpup air rifles available.

Does this carbine version come with a moderator? If not, does the shroud have a 1/2 inch UNF thread for 3rd party moderators?
The carbine has a fully shrouded barrel but no moderator. The end ofvthe shroud is threaded 1/2 " UNF.
Can the cocking lever be switched to the right?
Yes
I have had to send mine back twice to be repaired first indexing problem this send back was for accuracy issues its shooting to the left a foot and a have off less than 6 months old has anyone else had issues like this?
I purchased a refurbished .25 cal a couple months ago. It is not the carbine. The first shot was 8" left at about 14yards. After weeks of trying suggestions through email, I was instructed to return it for a gunsmith to check it out. He said the barrel band was holding the barrel to the left. I had previously, completely loosened the barrel band and was certain that was not the problem. It did shoot better until I loosened the barrel band, to find it was being held to the right. Hmmmmmm. After loosening the band it shot left just like it did before. What happens, if you adjust your windage to correct the problem, the scope is dialed out so far that it will not return to center after each shot. At 15 yards it will shoot a perfect horizontal line with maybe a 2.5" spread. I email Air Arms Friday asking for an exchange for something equivalent. I will see what they say.

Despite what some say, I really like this gun. I bought a refurbished version of the HP, Carbine. I own 6 other PCP rifles, so this isn't my first. I have others to compare it to. The stock is comfortable at the shoulder, easy to aim and hold on target. I only shoot offhand, and the little extra weight is not a problem at all. It's somewhat obviously accurate, even offhanded. The cocking is easy and smooth. The first 3/4 of lever motion is very easy and smooth, then the last 1/4 of rotation of the cocking lever gets a little harder, but still smooth and easy. The magazine is easy to load and insert into the breach. The shot sound is well within backyard friendly. I shoot indoors, at home. It doesn't even bother my two cats..! And yea, again, despite some, I do like the overall look. Well done Air Arms. The trigger is a little heavier than most, but it is adjustable. The first stage is smooth, the "wall' is solid and firm, the shot is clean and crisp, for the bullpup design.
Things I would have changed:Weight should be more on par with other guns in the class. I have a red dot sight on it. I can imagine if a larger scope would be used, it could get somewhat heavy. But it seems many/most shooters shoot from a bench, so the weight should not be a problem at all. The overall length should be a little shorter, to be more in the Bullpup classification. Over 29" or 30" is getting a bit long. Bullpup rifles are "close combat guns". Not normally used as sniper / long distance weapons. It has a "Weaver" (NOT a Picatinny) rail on it. So one needs to be careful of any double-locking lug sights, risers, scope mounts. Single locking works fine.
What others should know:I see that some complain of the barrel and air tank being separated so far (large air gap). It can't be helped because the the cocking design..! Not a problem to me. It's just not, exactly like every other gun on the market..!
