Benjamin Marauder Field And Target Air Rifle Kit

This is my first PCP. It's the Marauder Field and Target, 22 Cal. I've had it for about a year now and like the accuracy and ease of use. The package from Pyramid Air with the compressor includes almost everything needed to get started. Only other things needed are silicone oil, pellets & extra magazines.

The gun is heavy for carrying around. The bolt is pretty stiff to operate. Sometimes the magazine doesn't advance to the next round when cocking resulting in a 'misfire'. So, you need to watch this when cocking and tap the magazine a little to make it advance before pushing the bolt back in. To fix this, there's a video on You tube to adjust the spring to increase the tension in the magazine.

The stock is unfinished, but I was able to remove and finish it. Once finished, the walnut looks nice. The gun came with the wrong magazine which I didn't know until I watched a video on You tube to load it. Pyramid sent the correct magazine free of charge. The holes in the sling studs were too small for the pins in the sling. When I called Pyramid, they didn't have a solution. I sanded the pins down on the sling so they would fit. There were some slight rust spots on the air cylinder when it arrived. These got worse in the humidity I live in. I applied some rust reformer to these and make sure the cylinder is oiled. Aside from those issues, it is fun to shoot.

I got the gun up to 2000 psi and let it sit for a week. no change in pressure. Haven't sited in the scope yet but so far this is a great deal.

The plastic cover on the bolt lever sucks. Tell Benjamin to put one on that fits and doesn't feel like it's going to fall off.

I gave a 1 on accuracy because I have not sight it in yet.

After owning the Benjamin Marauder Field And Target Air Rifle Kit, can only say good things about it! Accurate, easy to shoot, QUIET, very back yard friendly. To me, the wood stock is a bit heavy but it stabilizes the gun nicely. The swivel mounts are great for the included sling and is comfortable for carrying in the field. I have a UTG 3-12X44 30mil SWAT Mill-dot scope mounted on UTG Pro 30mil medium height picatinny rings. Holds zero and looks good on the gun also.

The magazines are sometimes a bit of a hassle, but fixable. Put a picatinny rail on the for stock.

I have no experience with the Rovair compressor because when I ordered my kit it had the Nomad 2 compressor. It has worked great as long as I keep up the maintenance. I also must say I got the L.W. barrel option with my gun. In my opinion this is an heirloom quality rifle. You will have to order a scope because there no iron sights. Donny FL sells an adapter for the Marauder to attach a suppressor though I don't think its necessary. The rifle is very quiet out of the box. This rifle is a sweet hart!

Everything! I shopped around a lot before I purchased this combo and it was a very good deal. I was initially hesitant to invest this much cash, but I never regret getting quality and the reviews on the marauder are consistently good. I am very pleased with the products and the customer service, the packaging was outstanding. I just recently made my purchase and I have easily put 1,000 rounds through it. I am so glad I purchased the Nomad compressor, it works like a charm. I went with the upgraded barrel and the accuracy out to 30 yards is often one ragged hole for a 3 shot group. Out to 75 yards I can sometimes shoot under an inch, but I am still determining what pellet is most consistent.

Price all the components individually and shop around and you will see what a great deal this is. At first the compressor seemed pricey, but as much as I use it, I wouldn't be without it.

This field and target kit is a perfect package as it supplies you with everything you need. The Maruder speaks for itself as a quality pellet rifle. The compressor rates as a quality product as well. I really like the illuminating scope as well. I would recommend this package and would not hesitate to purchase again if something happened to it. Pyramid Air is a great place to go as the customer service is fast with shipping.

Wood finish is not the greatest but can be easily corrected with Tru oil or boiled linseed oil.

I purchased the package in a .22 with the Lothar barrel upgrade (Wood Stock.) So far, I like Everything. I've only shot it 40 or so times, but the accuracy is spot on at 25 yards. I did a lot of internet searches on you tube before deciding to buy this package. I have a (Springer) Gamo shadow chambered in a .177 that has served me well for its intended use for many years; and have no reason to part with it. As I get older, loading the spring every time to shoot, takes the fun out of the experience. I based my new purchase decision on the fact that I can turn on the compressor, air up the gun, and shot 40 or more times before I need to recharge.

I wouldn't change a thing. This is my first PCP experience. Be advised, the Marauder is heavy with the scope package. It's a very solid performer. The weight lends itself to the accuracy you can expect from this package.

If you're still undecided about this purchase after doing your research, don't be, it's a proven platform which will bring you and those you hand it down to, many years of enjoyment.
Very happy with my purchase experience at Pyramyd Air. I will not hesitate to purchase from them again. No other company offered the package I was looking for. Their web site also has a lot of information I find useful.

I like that all the items I wanted came as a bundle. The rest of my experience was very bad...

1) I ordered the20-for-$20 Mount/Zero Scope!. with that I also had to add a $59.99 case so that was an additional $79.99 to my order because they won't ship the mounted and adjusted scope unless you buy that $59.99 hard case. While the scope came mounted on the rifle, it was loose and it was never calibrated. When we tried it the rifle for the first time, we were not even close of hitting the target!!! that was a huge disappointment because I could have saved $79.99 and do a much better job if I did it myself. The scope was by 12 inches high and 6 inches to the left off target! 2) The quality of the Walnut stock is horrible!!! It feels like they barely sanded the wood and barely put a coat or stain... I owned many rifles and even the cheapest rifle I purchased has a better finish and better quality that this Marauder. I did read some reviews about the poor quality of the Walnut stock but I wasn't really sure that PyramydAir would actually sell such an unfinished and low quality product

My order was for Benjamin Marauder Field And Target Air Rifle Kit , Caliber - 0.220 *** the Walnut stock is horrible!!!*** it looks bad and it feels unfinished.
I feel that the "20-for-$20 Mount/Zero Scope!" is a scam because you are forced to buy a $59.99 case and my scope was never mounted correctly and was never zero out! ( off target by 12 inches), if you do order this service, make sure you have plenty of background wall or wood to stop the pellet since it might be way off target!

If you want to get into PCPs and you have a place to shoot at home, this is probably the best package to give you the freedom to shoot whenever you want.

They didnt send me my magazine!! Thank goodness I ordered two extras

It does say in this item description that it comes with a magazine, but they didnt provide one with the gun.

Very accurate great gun just didnt like the way pyramid handled shipping of the compressor had to spend 4 hours on phone just to get what I paid for.

There customer service sucks but the gun is great wish they would have a place to rate pyramid air will not buy again from them dont mind paying a little extra for good customer service
