Nice pretty accurate- great value-
Things I Would Have Changedwould like to see crossman .22 in 18 gr
What Others Should Knowhardly any flaking and mishapen pellets like in other brands I've tried-
Air rifles are a mystery to me and an endless source of fascination and frustration -- especially trying to identify the best pellet to use. I bought a tin of the .22 caliber Crosman Pointed pellets (14.3 Grains) to see how they worked with my Benjamin 392 and with my Air Arms TX200. The Benjamin typically shoots any kind of pellet well, but I found that I could not even hit the target paper with the Crosman Pointed pellets. My Air Arms TX200 is very picky about pellets, so I did not excpect very good results with the Crosman Pointed pellets. Air rifles being what they are, of course , the Tx200 loved these pellets and I shot a 1/2 inch group at 25 yards. Go figure! I also bought a tin of these pellets in .177 caliber and tried them with my RWS 34 with terrible results. Bottom line: your mileage may vary, but give them a try and see if they work with your rifle.
These make an excellent and inexpensive hunting round. They penetrate very well from all my airguns, especially my Hatsan 155. Yes there is more expensive and better pellets out there. But when it comes to plinking and small game hunting on a budget, these will do the job every time. I have taken rabbit and up to groundhog and racoon with these pellets. In my honest opinion, with a airgun getting 30fpe and up I think they would drop a coyote within 25 yards as well, brain shot placement.
Things I Would Have ChangedOffer more in a tin. Atleast 250 per tin at this price.
How cheap they were $
Things I Would Have ChangedEvery one of these pellets jammed my marauder. I stopped using them & had to empty my magazine. Will never reccoment
What Others Should KnowDont buy for the benjamin marauder
Overall the most accurate and consistent across my .22 cal guns out to 50 yards. If there was only one pellet to buy, this is the one that works for me. Other pellets might group better on a specific gun but not really at any significance to justify stocking up on a boat load of various types for my shooting needs. These are harder alloy and I find that a barrel cleaning after a few tins keeps the accuracy on target and thus no big deal to me. Although called "pointed", theses are closer to a dome. When I get a new gun, these are the first to go down the barrel and three out of five times, the best performer across my pellet inventory. Give them a try and if you have a tribe of guns, you just might be surprised..
Things I Would Have ChangedThe 175 tin count is a waste. Appears the same tins could hold 250 easily but should offer in 500 count. And why are they so pricey compared to other Premiers? I guess we are buying the can instead of pellets!
What Others Should KnowI've read other reviews complaining the tins are a mother to get open. I've had a few that are stubborn but never had to result to a hammer and screw driver. Try placing between palms of hand with pressure on the top and bottom while turning... Also, when compared to other 14.3gr, the sound of impact against pellet trap is noticeably louder. Might be the alloy but probably harder hitting. Ouch!
