Engineered from the ground up to enhance range and accuracy, these Hybrid Slugs from FX combine the most desirable attributes of both standard diabolo-shaped pellets and swaged slugs. According to FX, this results in lighter weight, a higher ballistic coefficient and the ability to be shot out of most PCPs with “massive expansion.”
“The FX Hybrid Slug will revolutionize what an airgun can do,” writes the manufacturer. “The hybrid benefits from the external dimensions of a high ballistic coefficient slug, but has a completely hollow core and deep recessed base, making it light enough to be shot from most PCPs. Its unique shape and extreme low weight, combined with an optimal bearing surface, all for velocities and trajectories that are unparalleled by any other slug or pellet.”
FX Hybrid Slugs have been designed with all PCPs in mind, but are specifically engineered for the FX Smooth Twist X (STX) Slug Liner. All modern FX airguns with the STX barrel can shoot these slugs accurately with the addition of an FX STX Slug Liner, the manufacturer reports.

Very well made.....Good solid shape with no shrapnel. Very consistent in shape.
Things I would have changed:Wish they were cheaper. Would be nice to have some kind of Package to try the same slug at different weights.
What others should know:Out of my RAW 1000x, these slugs really surprised me....at 40 yards I shot 3 shots and all three were touching each other. They shoot much better than the JSB 81 grain pellets. I highly recommend them if you have a RAW in 357. Since each gun is different, it is up to you to try and find out.

The packaging is good although it is a little cumbersome distributing them out of the package due to the size and weight. As always they arrived very well packaged from PA. The slugs themselves are very uniform and were in excellent condition. They chambered very smoothly in my 357 TJ barrel. They also shot very well at 50 yards at velocities from 940-890 fps. Lots of power at 133-120 fpe at the muzzle they penetrated a small propane torch bottle. They however did not punch through the other side.
Things I would have changed:Make them cheaper. Maybe have package of slugs with a sliding lid to make dispensing handier.
What others should know:Seem to be a great hunting or longer range shooting ammo option.
