They're pretty. Lead free is good the indoor range local to me requires lead free. Maybe they might work great in some other airgun just not my Benjamin marauder pistol. What others should know:
These pellets would not cycle properly in my 22 cal Benjamin marauder pistol. I don't know if its because of the particular shape or batch or what but they jam up. Other pellets work great h+n, crossman etc. It loves the hornets and the polymags but not these.
Fishing @Hunting @Camping with my family target practiceThings I would have changed:
Would like to change things back to when I grew up to many laws infringing on our rights can't even shoot a airgun in your backyard without someone saying something just miss the simpler times God bless keep up the great work mikeWhat others should know:
These pellets Rock got them to keep them critters to a good distance from me while fish God bless this great country
This is the heaviest PBA .22 pellet that I was able to find that performed well. It's giving me the best groups (of the pellets I've tried, of course) from a Gamo Whisper Fusion Mach I. If I had all the money I'd be shooting these.Things I would have changed:
They don't contain lead, but they must contain something else expensive instead. These things are $0.18 each. Even at that price, their consistency is not great. They are quite hard, so any oversized pellets give you the feeling that you're breaking your rifle, and undersized pellets feel like they're going to fall down the barrel compared to the average. I'm finding roughly 1/10 pellets either over or under, none deformed. Still, that's $2 down the toilet before I even started shooting. What others should know:
Worth trying, particularly for hunting, if you don't want to shoot lead. Otherwise, at this price, give them a pass.
Got a question or answer?
I've heard that the non lead pellets (H&N, Predator) are a Zinc/Tin alloy. The Gamo Raptor PBA .177 Cal, 5.4 Gr pellet has a brass like appearance, and are probably a uniform brass alloy for that pellet. Is this pellet an alloy of mostly Copper? Or is it some lighter alloy like the Zinc/Tin alloy ones that have just been Copper plated, like the H&N copper plated Lead pellets?
The Gamo PBA are a tin/zinc alloy and are copper plated. The plating is very thin and adds almost no weight.
Would this work in the new Webley Nemesis?
this should be at least 250 count at this price
