Never used this! it would not work with the Hawke Airmax 3-9x40.. It would be a fine fit for a scope with more mounting space I suppose. Seems well built! but IMO not worth the extra $$.. Buy the UTG! Its a great mount..
Things I would have changed:IMO it should fit "all" Hawke scopes.. The Airmax requires a 3.75" Max length mount & this one is a 4".. I should have measured! but you would figure..??
What others should know:Measure before you buy!

This mount is absolutely garbage. I bought to mount a Hawke 3-9 air rifle scope, the mount did not fit the scope well and 3 of the screws stripped in the mount while using a high end torque wrench to the exact specifications and slowly and evenly tightening down. This mount is a cheap piece of junk. Do not buy!
Things I would have changed:Make it higher quality.
What others should know:Do not buy.

Hawke 1-Pc mount (9-11 mm dovetail) w/ 1" rings, medium height. I assume that this mount is compatible with the Hawke AirMax 4-12 x 40 AO. The edge-to-edge rings length is 4.7" and the 1" scope tube length is 4.7 inches, so there NO adjustment to the mount/scope fit between the objective lens and ocular lens. Is this mount suitable for the scope given the tight fit?
I would recommend it. I would go for the Leapers Accushot mount instead, should give you more adjustment room. Leapers Accushot 1-Pc Mount w/1"...
Will this work with a hawke 4-12x40 on a Gamo hornet

Solid, one piece, affordable mount. This is my second review after mounting this on a Diana 430L and having no issues and great accuracy, I decided to try it on my Weihrauch HW97 K. I was concerned that it wouldn't fit in the receiver grooves of the Weihrauch because the mount has slightly roumded edge but it came and it just licked right it there and I had to give it the nod of approval. Did not need to shim the scope for droop for the Hw97. Took it out back and had it sighted and hitting the same spot on a rotting pumpkin in minutes.
Things I would have changed:Was worried about fit because mounting edges are slightly rounded. Worked on my Weihrauch HW97 K which has small, tight and precise machined 11mm mounting rail.
What others should know:Not sure who needs to hear this but, I saw some negative reviews that are probably user error. I have both a 32mm and a 40mm objective scope on two separate rifles and they both are solidly mounted with plenty or space and shooting dimed sized groups or less.
