Leapers built this scope especially for airgun hunters. They understand that airgunners have special needs and built this rifle scope so you can see clearly and sharply down to 5 yards. On top of that, they've supplied rings that have a built-in vertical scope stop.
Many scope manufacturers don't understand that spring guns have enough recoil that the scope mount can shift back ever so slightly with the pounding, harsh recoil of a piston. But Leapers understands. They put their scopes and mounts on spring guns to test their products. It's not a shot in the dark, and your gun isn't a testbed for their products. This scope and the supplied mount are tried and true, so you can be assured that your scope will work on any powerplant you have.
In case you don't know what the True Strength platform is -- it means this scope will stand up to airguns (and firearms) with the harshest recoil. Spring guns have two-way recoil that wreak havoc with ordinary scopes. But Leapers True Strength scopes laugh at two-way recoil. They're braced no matter which way the gun recoils. Or how hard it recoils.
The Webley Patriot has a reputation for breaking scopes and having the harshest two-way recoil of any springer. Clarity
Things I Would Have ChangedWorking illumination. The illuminated reticle was not a selling point for me, but they would turn on with this scope. It was returned for a refund which Pyramyd did promptly.
What Others Should KnowThis was purchased as an upgrade to the packaged scope on my Gamo Fusion Swarm Gen 2. This scope turned out to be too long to work with the break-barrel action. I would have had to replace it anyway
You can't beat the fact that this scope focuses down to bird feeder distance and is super sharp even in low light.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe multi color stuff is a gimmick but I wouldn't change a thing for the price.
What Others Should KnowThis scope fit my Gamo Maxxim Gen 2 with the included rings but just barely. It's a killer deal though and I'd highly recommend it.
Clear optics, lighted retical is something new for me nice when shooting at dawk and dusk.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe mounting rings never worked on my ( 2 ) nitro piston rifles scope kept slipping backwards, Had to switch to a one peice mont and super tighten on the mountng screws. Better instructions and bigger print .........old eyes.
What Others Should KnowI have been having problems with this scope holding sight in and zero on both of my Nitro piston rifles. The scope came highly reccomended by Pyramid Air tech reps I spoke with.
I have contacted Leapers twice by phone trying to talk to some one to see what is going on , both times I go a recording , I have left my name and number and a discreption of issues its been 3 week and no call back.
I now have to wounder just how good the stated life time warranty is as you can't talk to them. The booklet you get with the scope tells you all the things you want to hear. I call bunk IF SOMEONE would contact me it might be a easy fix.
I would like to return both of the scopes but shipping and I am sure they will say the scopes are OK. Your best bet is to Look to Hawk optics scopes you might have a better out come.
I think it stinks when manufactures don't shandby and support their produces. The worse part is Pyramid air sold me on these because they were true strenght and the best for my rifles
Loved it when it was working. Ive only gotten to use it for a month and a half and it started shooting all over the place. This was mounted on a ruger air magnum.
