To load the gun, break it open between the back of the barrel & the front of the cylinder. Instead of loading pellets directly into the wheel, you pop in a preloaded circular clip. Close it up and start shooting!
Steel BBs can ricochet. Everyone in the area should wear safety glasses. Remember to remove all pets from the shooting range. To minimize ricochet, do not shoot steel BBs at hard objects or water.
Ten-shot pellet repeater, 6-rd BB repeater, real revolver mechanism, single- or double-action: This gun looks like the Colt Python and shoots as fast as you can pull the trigger. Powered by a CO2 cartridge, the Crosman Vigilante has a 6" rifled steel barrel. The molded combat grips have finger grooves for added control. It's so realistic, your friends will have a hard time telling the difference between this and a firearm.
The rear sight is fully adjustable, but feel free to add a laser or flashlight on the Weaver accessory rail. This is a great gun for shooting tin cans, plinking, hitting spinners and more. It's an all-day shooter, so stock up on ammo and CO2!

Things I liked: Excellent single action trigger, great fully adjustable sights, excellent accuracy (better groups so far then from my competition Springfield XDM 5.25 9mm) from 5 yards, great look and weight - all for $50!
Things I would have changed: For 50 bucks... nothing
What others should know: One unnecessary visit in a restaurant could buy you years of fun.
Things I liked: The Rails and Accuracy.
Things I would have changed: Actually nothing.
What others should know: Great all around. Put a red dot on the top rail, and a laser on the bottom and have a blast !!!
Things I liked: Perfect airgun and that price! Accurate even to 15 metres without laser, red dot or scope. Have even taken it further and was very impressed, add a sight aid and it goes from being a great gun to an amazing gun. Very accurate, excellent velocity. Can't go wrong. My favourite CO2 handgun to date. Even performed surprisingly well in the cold, when I first bought and tested it was unusually cold at around 0c and still gave 80 good shots per cartridge - even through and through holes in ravioli cans.
Things I would have changed: A little flimsy and plasticy in the grip area, some light rubber coating or similar would have added a bit more heft and solidity. Would have paid a few bucks more for that also. But for this price. Wouldn't change anything else.
What others should know: Takes almost all the pellets I fed it well, preferred a few over some others, but everything shot through with a minimum of decent results. It especially liked the Crosman Premier pointed (not super pointed) at 7.4 grains. Had the feeling you could go heavier with even better results. I recommend as with any new airgun to buy a decent cleaning rod kit and give it a nice cleaning followed by oiling after shooting a cartridge worth of shots. Would even do it before. Usually lots of factory gunk and even rust left in the barrel right from the factory. Can be even more if its sat in the shelf a while. Enjoy shooting this fine revolver!

What red dot reflex sight fits on the weaver mount on the crosman vigilante pistol?
As several reviews mention, the Vigilante works very well with a number of dot sights. The potential problem is mounting: The top Weaver rail has only one cross-slot, about 1 3/16" from the place where the gun opens. The locating cross-bolt from your sight needs to hit this slot. In addition, the part of the rail behind the slot is significantly more rigid than the part before; you need to clamp to the rigid part. If the sight is too long, it will overhang the release button that opens the gun, and make it difficult to open the gun to reload. Examples: Bushnell TRS-25 -- fits with no problems. "Field Sport Red and Green Reflex Sight with 4 Reticles" -- two problems: (1) Locating screw cannot be aligned with (only) groove, so you need to mount it using only one of two clamp screws, friction hold only. No apparent slippage problems. (2) To clamp the rigid part of mounting rail, the sight must be far enough back to partly cover the release button; you need to use some tool to open the revolver to reload. This was a major nuisance and I soon bought a different sight.
How many pellets can I shoot with 1 CO2?
So every time I put a co2 in my pistol it just leaks out right away like I screw it in and ten seconds later no air
