Lay down a shower of lead with the Diana Stormrider!

Since 1892, Diana has produced high-quality airguns that are as reliable as they are accurate. While the Stormrider may not be their first PCP, it’s certainly the most budget-friendly. With a straightforward, no-frills design, the Stormrider’s combination of repeating shots and great features make it a serious contender for one of the best entry-level PCPs.

The first thing you’ll notice is the quality of the German beech stock. It’s sturdy and contoured with checkering on the grip and forend. With a thickness of 1.5 inches wide and a total weight of 5lbs, the Stormrider is easy to handle for shooters young and old.

Hands down, the best feature of this Diana is its repeating shots. Simply load up the rotary magazine and slide it into the breech which secures it into place magnetically. With 9 shots in .177 and 7 in .22, cycle to a new round with a quick flick of the bolt action. Once you charge up the 200 BAR (2900 psi) cylinder, you can send rounds downrange at 1,050 fps (.177) and 900 fps (.22). Additionally, if you want to shoot one shot at a time, a single-shot tray is included. It also includes open sights with a fully adjustable rear sight and an 11mm dovetail for mounting your own optics.

If you’ve wanted your own PCP airgun but the price has held you back, the Stormrider gives you a budget-friendly PCP design that lives up to the Diana name.

Tech Tip: For Gen 1. models, the front and rear sights are removable. It may be necessary to remove the rear sight when mounting an optic longer than 10".  On Gen. 2 models, the rear sight is still removable.

Please note: Gen. 2 Stormrider packages incorrectly list the overall length as 38.5" while the correct overall length is 40.5" for this version due to the longer moderator. The correct overall length for the Gen. 1 Stormrider is 38.5".

Things I liked: Small and light, and doesn't wear you out to pump it up

Things I would have changed: The bolt isn't very smooth when loading pellets

What others should know: This is a good backyard plinker. It's accurate, not too loud, and gets you a decent amount of shots per fill.

Things I liked: Accuracy is dead on. Flat dead kills on squirrels at 200 feet and beyond. Have a scope mounted and this baby puts the pellet exactly where you put the crosshairs! It's amazing!!! Plenty of power and if it was any quieter it would be silent! I LOVE IT!!

Things I would have changed: Nothing! I don't know how it could be improved!

What others should know: If you're going to use a PCP gun, you're going to need a pressure source. I use a scuba tank because the pump is slow and will wear you out using it. It can take as much as 200 strokes to reach the 3000 pounds of pressure you'll need. Might as well order something to give you the 3000 pounds of pressure you'll need. 30 - 40 shots between fills is quite adequate, but you don't want to use a pressure pump! It will wear you out!! Good excercise, I guess, but I can do without it. Get a scuba tank and a fill valve.

Things I liked: I have not been able to exercise the rifle as much as I want but I look forward to a wonderful summer and fall.

Things I would have changed: Maybe some visibility paint on sites.

What others should know: I am a beginner with air guns but I am confident that I made good choices to start with the Diana rifle and Benjamin pump.

  • Crow from USA asked:

I only had the stormrider2 about month put around 50 pellets through it and it seems that power has went way down.the barrel moves all over the place.whats going on.is the stormrider a piece of xxxx rifle?

  • Jason from USA asked:

I have the new Diana storm rider gen2 in .22 Cal and I had to remove the barrel to install a second barrel band and was wondering if the barrel has a third O ring in the small air port hole. Because I didn't see one when I pulled the barrel out and just seen the two O rings around the barrel. If there is to be an O ring there how do I find it to but it.

  • Janus from Chile asked:

It`s possible to buy just the barrel?. Does it fit the threads in the Diana Bandit pistol?
