Hatsan Hercules Bully PCP Air Rifle
Tech Tip: The .45 caliber barrels are NOT choked to provide better performance with cast lead ammo.
Two years after the success of the Hercules PCP, Hatsan listened to its fans with a revamped and streamlined version—the Hercules Bully. The Bully brings the hard-hitting power of the original to a compact bullpup ready to push any pellet around with ease.
The biggest change over the original Hercules is the introduction of a synthetic bullpup stock and the removal of the rear tank in favor of a single 500cc carbon fiber cylinder. These improvements are the big reason why the Bully weighs nearly 3 lbs. less and reduces its length by 12-inches. The all-weather stock includes an easy-adjust comb for finding proper cheek weld and features a textured grip and forearm to find a secure hold. Looking on the underside, shooters will find a lot of bonus features from the integrated swivel sling studs, easy to read manometer, Weaver bipod mount, and even a storage space for your extra magazines. The mag storage holds two of the three included rotary magazines on deck while you shoot the one loaded into the breach.
Just because the Bully is a smaller airgun, don’t think for a minute it can’t punch out of its weight class. This PCP won’t sacrifice velocity and knockdown power and remains a formidable target shooter and hunter. Each rifle is available in .177, .22, 25, .30, .35, and .45 caliber with corresponding muzzle energy of 50, 60, 75, 115, 150 and 290 FPE! Shooters will have no trouble cycling rounds with a quick pull of the long sidelever action and its 2-stage trigger can be set to your preference. Once you fire, your report is dampened by a fully-shrouded barrel with Quiet Energy (QE) technology. Each barrel is precision rifled and choked to ensure your rounds fly true.
The big perks of this small package continue in the optics layout. Each rifle includes detachable flip-up Trueglo fiber-optics sights and a lengthy 9.5” 11mm Dovetail/Weaver combination rail that can accommodate any setup you can imagine.
You asked--Hatsan delivered! When you need a PCP built on a proven platform locked and stocked with features, let the Bully boss your ammo around!

Things I liked: serious power for predator hunting and if your a really good shot you could take a decent size hog or deer in the vitals. i shoot my hand casts 103 and 127 grain round nose made from lee molds 90309 and 90305. and i get a muzzle velocity of 855 and 805 fps! so its over spec compared to Hatsan's advertised numbers.
Things I would have changed: i took off the height adjustable plastic cheek rest since it was causing eye relief problems and the scope shadow. the slight weight reduction is good for a heavy rifle. i see the possibility for a carbon fiber barrel shroud for additional weight reduction.
What others should know: the magazine has a slug length limitation to cycle properly. i was able to magazine feed my 103 grain round nose and the air venturi 105 grain flat point without problems. anything bigger would need to be loaded manually.
Things I liked: Its a great gun however I havent had a chance to shoot it very much seems to group good with the jsb pellets at 50 yards
Things I would have changed: The price is kinda steep in my opinion and I would like to use longer pellets
What others should know: It will shoot the grizzly slugs but the predator poly mags are too long however if you remove the plastic tip they will shoot really good
Things I liked: Open sights
Things I would have changed: Magazine operation, fill port cover
What others should know: The magazine was difficult to get out or in the gun. It would not advance to align the next pellet. I was only able to get five shots out before the magazine froze. The cocking lever stuck in the out position, with a pellet jammed, making it impossible to mail back. I had to pound the magazine to get the rifle safe to mail. In addition, the cover over the charging port broke at the first fill. PA stood by their policy and helped me exchange this rifle for a single shot, so kudos to PA for their return/ customer service. This rifle was a .45cal. The few shots I took with this rifle hit hard at 40 meters and seemed to be fairly accurate. I chose a Texan .45 as a replacement.
