I picked one of these up about a month ago. The furniture all fits nice and tight. The hamon looks great, and its legit not acid etched My scabbard simply needed to be opened up slightly as the blade fit was very tight, and the pin holes in the tang took a deburring to allow easier future removals of the hilt. Cuts like a laser beam. I'd say it's worth every penny.
The description serves this sword well. It is possibly the most beautiful sword they make. Like a work of art, but strong as all get up. Hotly recommended.
I’ve been a big fan of cold steel for long, recently I purchased several katana, and a common bad part of all of them is, the quality of scabbard is terrible. It is so thin, and tight, that I don’t know how long it can survive. When you put the blade into the scabbard, it’s so tight that it becomes very difficulty to pull the blade out. It’s so much worse than before

This is the highest quality katana I've ever had. Iove it! Shipping was fast, took 2 days. The sheath was a bit tight at first but it became more manageable as I inserted and drew the blade. Now it comes out easily with only a thumb. I'd prefer it be stiff at first. It's quality! Can't ask for anything more in a production katana.5 stars! The wrapping is nice and tight, feels great in the hand, the blade is nice and thick but sharp, and it's a true beauty. I agree, it's a true work of art..I cant stop smiling. Cold Steel knows its stuff(period)
