This rifle in 22 cal smacks with authority! From a measured 45 ft, indoor target setup, these 22 lead pellets are penitrating clean through 3/4" plywood and denting the bamboo chopping board thats set behind. I am throughly impressed with the quality, size, accuracy, and the power this air rifle possesses. PA got me, I'm hooked.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe only issue I have is with the statement made in the marketing/directions that the trigger has an adjustment for travel length, but it's been turned all the way in from factory. You can't shorten the travel because that's as short as available with the screw in tight. So being told I could shorten a long travel and not being able to do that on a very long trigger pull was a bit a let down. But I would buy it again, if for anything, it would be the authoritative power these 22's smack with.
What Others Should KnowThe wood furniture has a very nice look. Kinda want to put a coat of lacquer for a moisture barrier, but i like the appearance it currently has. And It was definitely bigger than I had thought it would be. Lol
Rowdy for a pellet rifle , it will push dents out the back of a stop sign about 50 yards away! Quiet as heck too neighbors dont even know when Im cranking squirrels in the back yard.
Things I Would Have ChangedBetter scope,
What Others Should KnowNot crazy accurate but only shot 1 brand of pellets
Great gun, works well. Great for squirrels.
Things I Would Have ChangedDo not pay to have scope mounted or zero. As its easy and you will pay and not receive the service. this is a money grab.
What Others Should KnowQuality stock for larger shooter
With JSB 15.89 Hades, 25 yards produced nickle size groups at 35 yards it produced quarter size groups. I could not get CP 14.3 to group well and I got a lot of fliers from them.
Things I Would Have Changedut actual FPS figures on the web site description. I was getting 760FPS with JSB 15.89 Hades and 806FPS with the 14.3 grain Crosman Premire pellets in .22. The box states 1100 FPS in .22 with super light pellets. I was expecting at least 860fps with CP 14.3gr. I purchaced this gun for 50 plus yards hunting but at 50 yards the pellet is headed to the ground fast. I figured the muzzle FPE to be 20FPE.
What Others Should KnowThis is a good gun for under 40 yards for pest control. The trigger has a 4.3 pound pull which can hinder accuricy but using the artillary hold can be tamed down.

I figured the FPE to be just barley 20FPE which is what my RWS 350 will do in .177 cal. and can be shot accurately at 100 yards with very little drop.
What Others Should KnowThis is a good gun fof 40 yard or less pest control. The trigger has a 4.3 pound pull which can hinder accuricy but using the artillery hold can be tamed down . Other than being 300FPS less in fps than stated on the box this is a good short range rifle.
it has the power looking for
Things I Would Have Changednot a thing
What Others Should Knownone
beautiful rifle, power, smooth easy cocking, happy just holding and admiring this gun--stock is flawless
Things I Would Have Changedsame as always, give us the choice of scope or dot sight or best yet---nothing so its cheaper and we can put our own eyeball enhancer on as we wish but done barking up that tree, there must be pallets and pallets of cheap 4x scopes that were returned, when will someone figure this out
What Others Should Knowplease pleeeaaase get this gun if you like slingn pellets like i do, great gun, great engine and good price. halfway through break in period 120 cphps thru so far and still smokin pretty good chrono comin up soon clean barrel before 1st shot and tighten all screws every 30 shots or so, yes that often and after break in loctite em up good job crosman highly recommend you get this before they are suddenly discontinued and are no more
The accuracy out of the box is outstanding with almost any H and N pellet. Weight.
Things I Would Have ChangedPlastic shroud over the barrel. Looks cheaply made. Clean break trigger. Still at almost 4lbs. Nor my kind of trigger for accuracy.
What Others Should KnowThis thing has more recoil than my 22-250. Pistol grip takes getting used to.
The power...sort of...sometimes. Sometimes it's a real powerhouse, 879 fps with a 16.36 gr pellet and right around 639 fps with a 25.39 gr JSB Ultra Shock. And sometimes it struggles to break 105 fps with any pellet. It seems to be accurate so far. One ragged hole at 30 yards is no problem, although it sometimes does it in a vertical string-probably due to the inconsistent velocity . The wood stock is nice since I'm not a fan of plastic and the wood quality and finish are nice. I'm sure that adds some weight, but at my age it damps my shaky sight picture. LOL All in all a nice, powerful rifle and I expect it to get a lot nicer when I can track down a decent seal for it. I'd buy it again, so there's that.
Things I Would Have ChangedFire the drunk monkey who assembles them. The factory piston seal looks like it was installed by an inebriated primate on a Monday morning. At least 1/4 of the piston seal's edge was shaved off. I deburred the edges from the stamping of the slots to prevent further damage. Now trying to find an aftermarket seal to finish fixing the problem. Had the same problem with my daughter's Trail NP XL (.25) so I'm familiar with it, but it's marginally annoying to spend that kind of money to take it apart and put it back together correctly. Knock $50 off the price and send it to me as a kit so it goes together right the first time.
What Others Should KnowFactory piston seal WILL be damaged. It's kind of a Crosman trademark at this point. How badly and how much it affects performance will vary, though. Moderately heavy and you can't mount a sling or bipod because of the Buck Rogers styling of the barrel. Cocking effort is minimal, considering the power. The built in "suppressor" is, well, don't buy it just for that. You'll be disappointed. Plastic open sights that lack quality or any aesthetic appeal, but could be adjusted to work just fine. I painted the back of the front ramp white and outlined the rear sight window the same to make it easier to see. Front sight can be easily trimmed shorter or thinner with a file but I don't have the need. Wood stock adds weight, but it's well designed and is comfortable to shoot if you don't mind a little recoil. The usual blue Loctite (twice on the scope mounts) caveat. Overall well made and designed as far as I can tell, just poorly assembled.

I like the feeling of this gun. It is stout! Im 6ft / 230 and this gun fits me well. It is a beast and packs a punch!
Things I Would Have ChangedGotta work on the trigger a bit. Its a classic crosman/pellet gun trigger. spoungy and lllooooonnnnngggg. Shoot it a bunch and it will do its job for sure.
What Others Should KnowLots of talk about inconsistent aim n such but i didnt experience any of that. maybe I got a good one, but im shooting

When you hit them they do not move. Immediate destruction.
