Description
Manufactured in the United Kingdom with Air Arms state-of-the-art engineering and production technology, the new Galahad PCP air rifle is one of the quietest bullpup air rifles available. The rifle version incorporates threaded barrels increasing suppression with an optional moderator.
Air Arms loaded the Galahad with versatility and user friendly upgrades. With its state-of-the-art regulator, the Galahad offers exceptional shot string consistency in addition to more shots per fill versus a non-regulated PCP airgun. And because every gun offers multiple power settings, you customize the gun to your personal shooting preference based on the target you're shooting at. For shooting at longer ranges, the integrated bubble level helps resolve cant issues, resulting in better accuracy.
Available in .22 or .25 caliber, the Galahad rifles feature a compact, ergonomic walnut stock with a finely detailed pistol grip and forearm for ideal shooting comfort. The beautifully crafted walnut stock is ambidextrous and features a highly adjustable buttpad that pivots right or left depending on your preference. For added versatility, spacers can be fitted between the pad and stock to increase length of pull.
The aesthetically pleasing Galahad features a forward mounted cocking lever made from aircraft-grade aluminum at the center of the action, making it especially easy to cock and naturally comfortable. The cocking lever offers you the option of having it on either the right or left-hand side of the action making it fully ambidextrous. Body movement during the shot cycle is reduced allowing you to remain on target better. And, not only does the forward motion cocking design result in enhanced stealth because you don't have to pull away from the rifle to cock it, but it also delivers marked improvements in shot placement.
With the attractive curves and lines of its sporting shape stock, the Galahad stands out from traditional, bulky bullpups. The center of gravity is just to the rear of the pistol grip meaning extra stability when handling the shorter action. And the distinctive shape of the pistol grip provides additional resting options in a compact shooting stance. The Galahad has a two-stage adjustable trigger, built-in pressure gauge, and a soft-touch cheekpiece that each add to shooting versatility and comfort. There is also a short rail under the forend for mounting additional accessories.
For the most sophisticated sporting air rifle loaded with features that ensure power, strength and accuracy, choose the Galahad by Air Arms.

8 of 8 Air Arms Galahad Rifle, REG FAC Walnut Stock Reviews
I sent it back it jammed in 3 days 100-150 rounds
Things I Would Have ChangedToo complicated
What Others Should KnowGet something else.
Fit and finish are great i love the lines off the bullpup design and the walnut stock is beautiful. I have the 25 version it is quiet and is very accurate with 3 different jsb pellets the gun is putting out 38 fpe. The cocking lever is different but works well with slight effort. Did I mention that i love this gun and its retro style
Things I Would Have ChangedIt needs to shed some weight bullpups are not for everyone, but in their realm are great to use in hunting/shooting environments. The balance point is good when shouldered . The safety is not what most of us are used to but works great i have other safeties in the trigger area you need to adapt and overcome or go home, take it or leave it.
What Others Should KnowI think there are alot of negative reviews about the galahad, i have done a lot of research in this category before purchasing this blemished product.
There were 2 cracked covers on the magazines and a rub mark in walnut stock, i called customer service and addressed my problem they wanted to send me 2 new magazines to replace but I noticed that they have replacement covers on the web site. They sent me out 4 covers (who does that) the rub mark on the stock who cares I bought a (blemished product) which will have problems with appearance but they need to be mechanical sound and this one is. The safety is different being mounted on trigger but works very well and trigger is crisp I set to 1lb 9 oz, it cycled and feed everytime
Great job pyramyd air and air arms i would buy this again in a heartbeat
Beautiful gun.
Things I Would Have ChangedCharging/cocking lever. weight.
What Others Should KnowHeavy, a bit hard to cock, accuracy is acceptable. Lots of money but unimpressed as I also have an FX Wildcat and it is lighter, much easier to use and the most accurate gun I own. Not really a comparison.
I love this rifle. It is very accurate with my Hawke Sport Optics Airmax 4-12x50 AO Scope. Although it weighs in at 8.6 lbs it feels much lighter. And it is VERY quiet. When I say very quiet I mean all you hear is a "click", sort of like a mild clap of your hands. If noise is a concern of yours then this is THE gun. Of course, the walnut stock is really stunning. I was surprised that the cocking lever is very easy to cock requiring little effort at all. On the under side of the stock there is a rail that you can install a UIT Rail (Anschutz) to Picatinny Rail Bipod Adapter. This will allow you to easily add a laser or flashlight or other item.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe location of the air pressure gauge as many others have stated is in a dangerous position.
What Others Should KnowI originally ordered a Galahad Black stock. It would not shoot. Pyramid Air is very good at returning items with pre-paid shipping. I exchanged it for the Walnut stock version. What you should know is that it was obvious when I got the Walnut stock rifle that the Black stock rifle WAS NOT NEW. The packaging was not close to the packaging of the Walnut version. And not all the parts/accessories were with the Black stock version. I put this one on Pyramid Air until they correct me why they should not be held responsible for shipping a rifle as "new" when it was not. Other than that I can't say enough good things about Pyramid Air.
i like the idea.
What Others Should Knowfill probe on rifle i received so loose it would not seal, bad fil port bad probe i don't know. magazine indexing does not rotate magazine enough to line up the breach and pellet, bolt knocks it in place as it passes through, power setting adjustment knob so tight can't feel the detents catch. That is all i can comment on as i could not charge the rifle. for the price of this rifle I would have expected much better quality control. complained directly to Air Arms also. we will see how Pyramyd customer service handles this, after my first customer service phone (half an hour after unboxing rifle) call I am not impressed yet.
beautiful wood, and the palm swell fits me nicely. good center of gravity makes the weapon come up to shooting position nicely. accuracy is good. checkering is good, sharp, and generous. I like the regulated action giving more consistent velocity throughout the range of operating pressure. also the detent that is in the power regulator is a welcome addition, as it helps to keep the power from wandering when inadvertently brushed. as the one on my ultimate sporter is somewhat touchy. Picatinny rail makes it easier to mount night Vision or other devices securely to the weapon. as does the sling, and accessory rail on the fore end.
Things I Would Have Changedthe trigger seems high in relation to the trigger guard. possibly lowering the action into the stock about another 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch would fix that, or maybe I will find a trigger shoe to bring that down a bit. I never really liked the weak magazine indexing apparatus used in air arms weapons. but as long as it doesn't break I will not complain. I really wish they would have put a sling swivel stud on the butt stock. I mean they put the rail on front but nothing on the back. do they expect me to have at a1700 dollar rifle with my portable drill? move the pressure gauge to the bottom of the stock,. It is not a safe thing to do, to look down the barrel of a weapon to check the air pressure.the pressure gauge should go past the full pressure point, I believe the golden rule of pressure gauges is that the maximum pressure of the gauge should be 30 percent more than maximum pressures the device being monitored expected to realize, to avoid 'springing' the bourdon tube in the gauge.
What Others Should Knowif you buy one when you get it, loosen the barrel band and allow the barrel to find "home" as I have bought 3 air arms rifles to date, and all three had the barrels pulled off to one side. I suspect this might happen in shipping. But loosen the barrel band screws, most likely you will see the barrel move to the center of the weapon. then re tighten evenly. Be sure to order a quick fill adaptor to screw onto the fill probe or you will have to dedicate your fill hose to that weapon.
Burly walnut stock is freakin beautiful! Very quiet. Regulated for improved shot string. Ballance of weapon is really nice, I am sure it will facilitate enhanced off hand accuracy. Picayinny rail for scope.
Things I Would Have ChangedTrigger seems to be a bit high relative to the trigger guard opening, and hand grip. I wish it had the quick disconnect like the one on my Benjamin maruder. A bit more trigger travel than my ultimate sporter, but I bet that's a bull pup kinda thing. No base for a sling swivel on the butt stock, but there is a slot on the forend. What am I supposed to do, have at it with my battery drill on my 1700 dollar air rifle? C'mon guys!
What Others Should KnowNot gonna give it back, even with the deficiencies, it's a keeper ! Just wish they'd put a rear sling swivel base on it. How do they expect me to carry it out in the field? Or in England they just hunt inside from an armchair ?

I purchased this rifle a couple of years ago just after they added the detents to the power adjuster and have put over 5000 rds thru it. No problems except cracked magazine covers, easily fixed. Overall the look and feel of it are what I was expecting, with good to excellent accuracy. The quiet discharge noise is a definite plus, late at night when ever I want, except for the tick of the pellet hitting the target the wife sleeping right above never complained. The trigger is very good, excellent for a bullpup design.
Things I Would Have ChangedMostly the same as everyone who has one,,,,, trigger is too high in relation to the grip,,,,, air meter should have been placed in the stock someplace, instead of the end of the air tank,,,, the stock had no finish on it at all,,,, the piccatiny rail is not made to industry standards, no one piece mount will fit the rail without modifying the mount by reducing the lock bar spacing.
What Others Should KnowI do not regret buying the Gallahad and will keep it and continue to enjoy the rifle, that being said.. for the price I paid, I think I would have been better served with a normal rifle design and put the extra money into accessories.
