The Athlon Optics Cronus ATS 35ML-400 Thermal Monocular with Laser Rangefinder helps with viewing targets at night, and with ranging their distances without alerting prey because its laser rangefinder does not generate visible light. It features a highly-sensitive thermal sensor with a NETD rating of less than 50mk to provide crisp and clear images with less noise than competing sensors from other manufacturers.
The thermal sensor on this monocular uses a 400x300 pixel design with a 12-micron pixel pitch that results in a smaller overall size with higher resolution, delivering compact performance. It uses a 35mm objective lens for improved light gathering, meaning it can help show a bright and vivid image in spite of low light or poor weather.
The Athlon Cronus ATS 35ML-400 uses an app that connects via Wi-Fi and is compatible with both Apple and Android devices for displaying a larger image, as well as recording audio and video at 640x480 resolution, downloading images, and changing settings. In addition, this thermal monocular is IP66 waterproof, shockproof, and fog proof to ensure it keeps operating reliably in a variety of conditions.
The built-in laser rangefinder has a ranging distance of 1100 yards, which gives hunters added information about their targets, and the monocular has an impressive detection range of 3000 yards and a generous recognition range of 1500 yards. The monocular has 5 illumination settings for improved visibility, as well as 5 color palette options that offer flexibility and customization, and the unit has auto sleep and auto shutoff features that combine with the 9-hour battery life to provide extensive viewing time.
