Additionally, it features Stoeger’s Dual-Stage S3 Noise Reduction System integrated into the barrel, and it’s one of the first things people notice. It has an internal air regulator ring that works in conjunction with baffles to help reduce overall noise.

Things I liked:

First off I do NOT do reviews but after my positive experience with Pyramyd air, figured why not. I purchased this to replace my ancient Beeman Wally World dust catcher. I recently bought my son the Stoeger S3000c Tac (EXCELLENT entry level rifle fyi), and wanted something so we could shoot together. For the price figured I couldnt go wrong. The rifle however is not piston type it is 100% springer. Basically it's the S4000 older model. NOW saying that, for the price, and simple "trigger mod" it's decent. Had a old Romeo5 laying around and they actually play well together after purchasing the proper rail to mount it. It is a fun backyard plinker for father son time. And I know if I choose to small game hunt I can easily with it.

Things I would have changed:

Update the product listing.

What others should know:

I will say this after receipt I called Pyramyd with my concern. They immediately offered to take it back. After thinking about it overnight I decided it wasn't worth the hassle and for the price I got it for really couldn't complain. Hats off to customer service and the company for standing behind what they sell.

Things I liked:

Alright, update time! Finally got a good day to take this thing out and break it in. 53*F and about 200 rounds later and I’m blown away! At first, I thought maybe this gun was dieseling a bit because of how powerful it kicks and how ridiculously fast these pellets were getting to the target. But I wasn’t seeing any evidence of that. I don’t have a chrony but I can tell by sight/sound, these rounds are moving faster than my Gamo Silent Cat (supposedly 1250fps w/alloy). Using Crosman Premiere Hollow Points, 7.9g in both guns btw. The S3 suppressor ACTUALLY WORKS! (a miracle, I know!) The shot itself is really quiet as it exits the muzzle, as you can hear that first, followed by the sound of the spring action. Which doesn’t sound like other springers I’ve used either. It doesn’t have a cheap “twang” to it. It sounds like it’s good quality and durable. If that makes sense? At the end of the day, I was able to get golf ball sized groups (open sights) our past 40yds. Any flyers were my fault

Things I would have changed:

Still a bit disappointed in the plastic front/rear sights, as well as the safety. It just doesn’t seem right on a gun of this quality. I had a little run in with some loose screws, but that’s why we look the gun over prior to use right? Also, had a little trouble with the trigger. It feels like nothing is changing when adjusting the screw? Now I’m not sure if this is common when upgrading from a lower end springer, (Winchester, Crosman, Gamo) but this gun was really tricky to shoot at first. As I mentioned above, there were a few “flyers” which were definitely my fault. But that’s because this gun seems to be temperamental on how you hold it. I kept thinking it had to do with the trigger and me “pulling” the shots, so that’s what I focused on most. Come to find out, once I stopped focusing on the trigger, and focused on a softer grip and keeping the sights on target, I just followed through on the shot and it made all the difference.

What others should know:

My first review was more of a “first impression”, which didn’t do the gun any justice at all. Kind of pointless actually. After getting a chance to really shoot it, I’m impressed! Even with it being refurbished/open box, it’s an absolute STEAL at $70! Very powerful, (kicks hard for a .177) deadly accurate, and a suppression system that works. It’s got some weight to it, but feels very well built and durable. (Stock is solid) The break action is butter smooth with no squeaks or grinding noises. Clicks back into place with ease. Safety is quite convenient, just push/pull with your thumb. Will auto engage as well. It’s going to take some practice/patience, but once you get past that “hump”, I guarantee you will be satisfied!
